I don't really like they have called the band Iron Monkey but I get it. Since sludge is way more famous now as a genre , musicians that were starving and didn't make jack shit back in the day , should get their due now. I get that and I agree . But it bothers me that they are named Iron Monkey without Morrow (and even Greaves and Danziel) . I wasn't there when they were still a band , but to this day it's probably the only band that straight up skullfucked me , when I first listened to , in 2005. When I tried to find out more about them , it made sense why they were so aggressive and different. They had to deal with so much shit from Earache , lack of money , that it figures their style was what like that. I don't think you can replicate that kind of music after so many years and without Morrow. They should have called the band something else , but I understand it. Earache was making shit ton of money after Morrow died and they reached cult status and they probably didn't get a penny. It is fair that at least 2 member of the original lineup should get some cash now , but still it leaves a bad taste to the mouth.

i think its a better album overall than our problem. though our problem has boss keloid on it which is one of my all time favourites, the rest of the album bar one or two songs is pretty poor. i admit its not as good as self titled - but really, it wasnt ever gong to be was it. take as needed for pain is eyehategod's best album, doesnt mean their others arent worth checking out
