Probably one of the first to say this in a comment. But Channel 33 RPM brought me here. I'm glad I watched that episode. I usually take my sludge in small doses, but this stuff his highly melodic and I'm really digging the singer. Especially since you can understand what they are singing. great album, I also like how they mix it up have less heavy songs like Pilgrim's Rest (which sounds like it could be an Elliot Smith song), that makes it more than just an 'Electric Wizard-core' album which is a trap many bands in the doom genre fall into, fortunately Windhand has its own sound and identity.
@whitenoise61 Жыл бұрын
If you enjoy the more mellow Windhand songs you need to go track down Dorthia's two solo albums, 2015 & 2023, (both on KZbin) they're absolutely fkn incredible, especially the first S/T one. Not an electric guitar in sight. The girl (she's around my daughter's age) is truly gifted. And this reco is coming from a boomer who normally listens to the most extreme underground black and death metal. I just have a soft spot for Windhand. This one's great, and their first three albums are just as great.
