is there any terms that define the property of material,if it requires 60 sec to change the temperature by 1 degree in ambient air.
@smokiedapoo2 Жыл бұрын
Yes, thermo-conductivity. q=-k*dT

Isn't PV work zero with just constant volume? Not constant pressure and volume? Because the term will be 0 if volume is constant?

Same question here
@smokiedapoo2 Жыл бұрын
@@khaizharris if q is all you’re looking for, then either at constant V & P or constant V alone will be essentially the same since no pressure/volume work is transfer or absorbed from the system. This is essentially how bomb calorimeters work. But it should be noted that the pressure will change if volume is constant. You know, for whatever engineering application you are using.

You wrote on your board that Delta H = Delta U + Delta P Delta V... surely you mean Delta(PV)... yes?
@l052_jeeveshpathak84 жыл бұрын
yes
@smokiedapoo2 Жыл бұрын
Change in pressure or change in volume or both can change pressure volume (PV), so really no difference in the way he wrote it. So far as work is concerned, change in pressure does no work so most people are familiar with only dV

Is that du = q + w or du = q - w ?
@mohdadilalvi39083 жыл бұрын
Du= q+ w
@irfanbinharunstudent642 жыл бұрын
actually, you can use both du=q + w and du=q - w. The term w for the first formula is work done ON the system, while the other formula, w represent work done BY the system.
