Love this. While we do fall in love, we have to CHOOSE love every morning, to choose our spouse in wonderful times and in hard times, it isn’t always this easy magical fantasy love (while this does exist it isn’t constant) so choosing each other every day is what keeps marriages strong. Michele and Dan-I LOVED this! I am a bonus mom and this is so good for me. We co-parent with our kids mom and its been hard because there is a different set of values and sharing holidays and it can be hard but we've managed to make it work. When I came into the picture my bonus kids were 9 and 6. Now they are 12 and 9 and we've hit good rhythm. My daughter (12) often confides in me more than her dad and I can see how God placed me in the picture at the exact right time! I"m so encouraged to see another couple doing regular life and doing well!

This makes my heart happy. That is one thing I didn’t touch on but our values and discipline with Addie is consistent with her Dad’s. If it wasn’t it would be a struggle for sure. I guess I take that for granted, but now being aware of it-more kudos to you for keeping strong and seeing it through!

@@michele1218 Thanks! We have our moments but in the end we tend to do what we need to do to keep peace and make their lives as seamless as possible. We have more things at our house as far as they have chores but they also earn a "paycheck" that they pay bills out of (The bills total about $1 per month so its not that much) and we're always trying to love them like Jesus does and guide them on being responsible. I don't think I realized how hard it could be, co-parenting, and I don't think I realized how much, as a parent, you have to die to yourself and set aside your smallest of desires at times. Also, my husband and I date each other regularly. We don't do alot of trips b/c we're tackling debt but we do make the most of the times we are kid free! I love seeing happy marriages and I love tips/tricks other use because I think it is easy to get into a rut! Love, love, love you, your family and your videos! xoxo
