I am 20 years old and I am the Addie in a very similar situation. As the daughter of a strong woman who chose to not tolerate the disrespect and broken trust of infidelity, I can tell you that you are doing an amazing thing for your daughter. Showing her the strength of a woman and a mother will inspire her as she grows up. Choosing hope and happiness over fear is the best thing you could ever do for your daughter, everything else is trivial. You are an awesome lady, Michele.

Michele I went through a heartbreak about 6 months after you & I came back to the first vid where you mentioned the blogpost & I remember you still took the time to comment back, which meant a lot. I too started going to the gym & for me my happy place was my job. I threw myself into my job & immersed myself in work. I had a really hard time at first & I remember thinking oh gosh I can't wait until June because then it'll be 6 months past & I'll be in such a better place etc etc. well now it's June & I definitely have moved on. It takes time & space & I definitely wanted the time to speed up during those rough moments but it honestly made me so strong & I learned so much. I grew so much in the first month after the heartbreak. It's amazing how much inner strength we prove to ourselves that we have when life is hard. So glad to see you've found happiness, girls like you absolutely deserve it!

Mine left when our baby was 6 months too. She just turned a year. I was a stay at home mom and still am. I'm agoraphobic so getting a job or even going to the grocery store is a huge battle, in addition to the stress and heartbreak. God it's difficult. All I've ever wanted was to be a mom. I'd just like to say thank you for being brave enough to share these details of your life. So often when we find ourselves in situations, the hardest part is feeling like you are all alone and no one else understands. When public people talk about what they are going through, how they are coping, if they are coping; it unifies us in a common experience. Perhaps someone is watching this video, gaining strength by your words, feeling like they are not alone. It took a lot of guts to do what you did.

Michele, I've been watching you for so many years and was completely shocked when I watched this video - I did not know you were separated/divorced! A very similar situation happened to me earlier last year and like yourself, I joined the gym, started to attend church regularly, kept on going to classes, met up with friends, etc. Now? I'm in a new and far more happier relationship, have traveled the world, and graduated with a Masters :D After reflecting on everything and managing to get the strength to stand back up again and keep going forward, I've accomplished so much in a short space of time and feel another release of life! It just shows how time can heal everything, how funny life can be, and how sometimes you forget how strong you really are as a person! This is an amazing and inspirational video because when life knocks you down to the ground, it may be difficult to see the light but as long as you hold on, keep going forward, you can get through it! I am truly happy for you Michele, you really are a strong and brave woman (plus, my fave KZbinr!) Much love all the way from England!!! Sarah xxx

I understand in a weird way, not that long ago my house burned down and we lost everything. I had about 3 weeks of unhappiness, and anger. I just one day thought to my self, if I did not change the way I was thinking I'll just stay unhappy. So I brought myself out of it and made an effort to think happy thoughts, and it worked! Now that it's been 5 months I can look back at it and now see the situation for what it is, Something that will make me a stronger person. Losing everything you own is like losing your own life in a odd way, now I know there's a new beginning to my life. That will bring new memories!

Michele I went through something similar about 5 years ago. I went through a divorce and had to start all over again at 30 and felt why and it would never be a happy time again, however I agree with you I would never change a thing because I too learned a lot about myself and the things I wanted to change. I also think I am a type "A" and like to control and not get why people can't see my side and I have since through much therapy and self work have changed that. I am currently remarried and happier than ever and about to expect our first baby. I could not imagine anything else in my life different. We have to all see things in life as growth and as long as we are open to that we become even better people and allow god to bring even greater things to light in our lives. I loved this very much and I am also from PA so it was extra awesome to see you are doing great always cheering you on!

Thank you so much Michele for sharing your story with us and how you rose above a difficult situation! This inspiring video was just what I needed to push myself to make my life happy again- while not a personal relationship, I have been in a rut due to moving houses from a parents broken relationship. I have been feeling lethargic and unmotivated and blaming the situation as an excuse for my laziness and overall unhappiness, but the moment you said that happiness is a choice I realized that you are so right! I'm taking a spinning class tonight, joining a gym and am pushing to get myself back into the swing of things that I enjoy-painting, sewing, etc. thank you so much for empowering others like me with your story and I wish you and your daughter all of the best!

When I was reading the questions on instagram and twitter I was kind of nervous for you (as they are all so personal). So brave to answer every single one of them so honestly! You are (and look) amazing!

You are truly an amazing person. You need to give yourself a pat on the back for being so strong and understanding. Just know you are doing a great job being a mom and being yourself. Thank you for being honest and giving us a peek of your personal life. I'm sure it was tough. Again, you are amazing. I love watching your videos. :)

I chose to stay a lot of years ago. My husband lied and lied and there was more than one woman. I never could forget. I watched him when we were out. He always looked and I gave up after 14 long years. I feel once trust is gone it's never the same. My ex is on his 3rd wife and I'm sure he's still not satisfied wherever he is. He has no contact with his grown kids, never has. I wish you all the best
