Its important as well not to make marriage TOO much a priority in your life. Sometimes being single is for your benefit. Relations can be beautiful but can be stressful and limiting. God might have other plans for you at the moment, but dont have a hopeless attitude either in the meantime..

I just got out of a relationship I thought was going to end up in marriage. We had struggled after about 7 months and we started to slip from god and health. A few weeks ago I told her how I felt and that I wanted god to come first in our relationship. She being 21 decided she wanted to be 21 and do that whole party scene. Since we broke up I was alone at my baptism and it’s been so hard praying for her. I constantly think about her and pray for her because I still love her. But after realizing that all the “lonely” moments in my life god was there I just couldn’t hear him. I pray she finds that same comfort.

I went through a season of singleness, working on myself, then Jesus brought me the wife of my dreams. We pray for each other, lift each other up daily, and serve together in ministry. I wouldn’t have this amazing marriage without going through this prior hardship.

“Rejection is God’s redirection” oof. That hit. Also, when Angela said she doesn’t believe in rejection, because it’s not her fault If she’s not the right person for someone… that is so good! ❤ I wanted to add though, that sometimes God puts an unbeliever in your life as your partner. It’s not always equally yoked. I’ve prayed about this a lot too. Especially if you found your relationship with Jesus while in an unequally yoked relationship. God has His reasons for this which I can’t understand but He knows better. You just have to make sure this is what God wants and allow Him to work. My partner encourages my faith, even if he isn’t Christian “yet” and do note, the Bible does talk about unequally yoked relationships in Corinthians. - Lee Strobel’s wife was a Christian and he was atheist. Eventually God brought Lee to Himself.

100% on point through the entire episode. Exactly the same takes I get from The Word. As a man I can say that men are basic. You both nailed it. Men want to feel useful/respected. Women want to feel loved/beautiful. Women want a rock that weathers the storm of emotions. Men want a woman who makes them feel manly and like a protector. Which plays into the true roles of masculine and feminine and how they are a perfect pairing. Relationships can be complicated. But doing relationships like God/Jesus they become simple. Love people, raise them up, produce fruit. If you aren't producing fruit you need to go back to the drawing board and figure out where you've strayed from the path. Take ego and pride out of it. Constantly ask yourself how can I show love to this person more? Keep up the great work. Absolutely crushing it.

A most interesting discussion, especially your thoughts on rejection. There was a girl in my past who I was convinced was "the one" for me. However, after about a year things deteriorated rapidly over the issue of kids. I never wanted kids and still don't. She had a 10 year old boy who was pretty wild but not a bad kid. She and I were crazy in love, but some incidents with her boy slowly drove a wedge between us. In time, her feelings for me changed and she wanted out. I was pretty devastated when it ended, but I knew I had given my all to try to make it work. About 15 years later, she contacted me several times wanting to reconnect. My first reaction was shock and surprise. I couldn't believe she found me. I was single (still am) and very content with my life. I felt no desire to speak with her again. I felt no ill will towards her. In fact, I felt nothing. I just had no interest in speaking with or seeing her. After several of her voicemails and even a letter to me went unanswered, she stopped contacting me. I never thought God was guiding me. If God exists, I think he's got a lot more important things on his mind than my dating life. Anyway, your videos always are interesting, even though I'm not convinced God exists.
