The Bengals are stuck in 2022 (literally). No significant changes. No philosophical improvements to defense or offense. No creativity in playcall. Doing the same idiotic thing the Bills did for 5 straight years of "great mediocrity".

Difference is their QB got hurt the last 2 season. Joe burrow when healthy, beat Mahomes and lost on a last second field goal to him in the AFC championship. That’s far better than Buffalo or any other team. Let Joe Cook.

@@caydenscorner yet he can't beat the teams in his own division. Cant beat Lamar or the Browns ever (unless the secondary is injured). If your only legacy is "I beat Mahomes a few times" and "my defense carried me to the Superbowl bc I didn't play that great in the playoffs, and everyone gave me credit anyways" then you be my guest. It's hype. He's a good QB but he isnt the Tom Brady you guys make him out to be.

@@jdajayi92 at the end of the day Mahomes is the Brady. No quarterback of this generation has been able to beat him. Burrow beating him in 1 of his only 2 healthy seasons has to mean something. Not to mention Burrow went on the road and beat Allen. And Lamar is 2-4 in the postseason and 0-2 in his last 2 against mahomes. So let’s not cherry pick burrow against his division.

@@caydenscorner ah yes. Let's not "cherry-pick" Burrow's obvious downfalls and glaring roadblocks, and only "cherry pick" his accomplishments because that's objective journalism 🙄. Allen and Lamar have their own issues, but we're talking about Burrow. For some reason he is absolutely impervious to criticism. Just say you're a Bengals fan.

The Bengals are going to lose their first three games. No doubt about it. Why? Because the coaches won't play the starters in the preseason. The first three regular season games, is basically the pre-season for the first team starters. That's when they work out all the kinks of a new season. Not in the three preseason games, but the first three games of the regular season. Joe Burrows was about as rusty as an old nail. The defense held their own, in spots, but the offense looked like this was the first time they had all played together. I didn't see a cohesive team. Just a lot of guys bumping into each other. Going into an 0-3 hole, is a dangerous way to start the season.

Definitely an overreaction to a week 1 loss but I don't think the Bengals are all that great. Their offense is definitely worse. Who knows when Joe Burrow gets hurt again. Happens every year.
