HEY CHUCK AND PAIGE, I LOVED THIS VIDEO. AS I SAID BEFORE I HAVE A TRIP TO KANCHANABURI PLANED SO I CAN SHOW IT TO MY NEW WIFE. WE WILL BE STAYING AT THE APPLE RESORT ACROSS THE OTHER SIDE OF THE RIVER. THAT'S WHERE I STAYED ON MY FIRST VISIT TO KANCHANABURI. THE BEST THING ABOUT THE APPLE RESORT IS THAT THEY OFFER A COOKING CLASS FOR A NOT SO SMALL FEE. ALTHOUGH IT'S A LITTLE SPENDY, IT DOES TAKE MOST OF THE DAY. IT ACTUALLY STARTS BEFORE SUNRISE WITH A TRIP TO THE MARKET TO BUY THE STUFF THAT YOU ARE GOING TO LEARN HOW TO COOK. AFTERWARDS YOU GET TO EAT WHAT YOU COOKED. I REALLY LIKE THE PLACE YOU GUYS STAYED AT ON THIS VIDEO AND THE PRICE WAS NOT BAD CONSIDERING YOU GET BREAKFAST, DINNER AND THE RAFT RIDE. I THINK THAT WOULD BE A GOOD ONE OR TWO DAY TRIP. I spent 3 days on a huge bamboo raft going down the River Kwai. With my family. Did not have the luxury that's there now. Couldn't get off the raft because my Dad was worried about insurgents and crocodiles. Toilet was just hanging over the side.

yes it is nice in Kanchanaburi ,have been there last spring, 1 question , can you ask at the floating hotels where all the wast water go's , since people swim in the river . . Thank you

I think that's one of my favorite places that you have visited so far I will be trying to come there soon I'm not quite ready to retire but I am a chef so I'm going to try to get on with a hotel chain there Four Seasons Hilton Marriott within the year or so

Please don't tell me that the human wastes from all those people i saw on the river edges/banks and those from your raft plus others is dumped back into the river. Also from where do they get their potable water. How can mother nature handle such gross pollution of river water where people swim and the Municipality use it to supply water to thousands of homes

Sam chang I regret asking that question. Some things are not meant to be discussed out in the open and be left to one's own imagination. I am very and very impressed by the way Thailand is Governed. The houses, Metro, malls, restaurants, hotels, roads, freeways, Etc. are just as similar to the USA. The Unemployment rate is less than the USA. Being born in INDIA I should not have asked that question. I have seen people in India walking up to river bank to scoop water with their hands to clean their bums. But that was 35 years ago .Now India has advanced a lot with the Internet and the new generation of young India taking control of the country for the Better. It is getting there slow but steady. Take care of yourself my friend. Again I should not have said that about India, because Indians are going to get upset.

There are health standards here for operating a business. Are they enforced. ???? Do people dump waist in any body of water anywhere in the world. MOST people here drink filtered or bottled water and it is very cheap. Your original statement was negative as if They were not able to be clean or supply clean water to a population of it's own people. Thankfully they don't have an FDA approves adding poisons to food and water for the purpose of MONEY.

Yes it is true(my original statement) but I did not for a minute imagine that Thailand did not care for its people, Therefore I agree with you that that they do clean their water that they provide to their general population. To summarize I have to say for a foreigner, Thailand is a good place to retire, find a mate, and live in PEACE. amen
