One of the reasons I like your channel is you don't normally go to those "famous overrated touristy restaurant" but u go to those places where the locals normally go to. That is the real way to experience the local cuisine and culture.

Do it! I lived there and I can tell you even the street food is better than Thai restaurants I've eaten at outside of Thailand. Most Thai food restaurants I've eaten at outside Thailand are really really good, but it's just on another level over there. It's food heaven. And that's just the cooking. The fruit markets are out of this world.

40 Baht for that world class breakfast! That's just over 1 usd. Food paradise! I like to stay up late, so I have a hard time getting up early, but when I'm in Thailand I get on that early morning schedule so I can take advantage the incredible fresh breakfast food! It's all so cheap. 35 - 50 baht for a heavenly breakfast. The energy of the morning sun and everyone going about their business and getting breakfast. It's so peaceful and fun!

Jungle Food seems exceptional for Mark because of spicy flavors from herbs and ingredients....but I am wary of some of the boar and fish ingredients. What I LOVE is when Mark visits a restaurant or family induced mealm in whatever country is when it is presented and prepared in the food's natural way. Like a fish or beef with just a hint of glaze or garlic. Then side vegetable dishes separate from the main dish. The Jungle Food presented here all seem to have the same components. I am sure all is very tasty as Mark ALWAYS presents interesting Thailand and other Asian foods...but this is not one of my favorites. That's OK...I probably won't be visiting Kanchanaburi but am always happy to see where mark takes us!

Hey Brother Mark, i'm a huge fan of your vlogs! It is so exciting to watch because your presentations are so genuine! Your expressions, generosity, diversity of choices are exceptional. It's not just a cuisine trying vlog but a window WIDE open to the world who otherwise couldn't connect. It is also a window to your soul. You really have a precious soul my friend. Without you bringing attention to these many diverse cuisine I highly doubt anyone else other than those rich tourists could've experienced these platters. Also you are helping so many of these local chefs get exposure from the sands of Afghanistan to the fancy place in the west!! You are amazing my friend. You inspire so many.
