Hi Kevin. I absolutely love your teaching and even though I have bought another KZbin instructor’s lessons, I’m seriously thinking about buying into yours as well. One thing I have to actually get off my chest though. You have a habit of starting to play, then stopping and start talking. I, in the meantime, will start playing along with you to try and pick up the lesson, and when you stop and start talking, that makes me lose all concentration. I know that at any time I can just stop the video and rewind, but it becomes frustrating after too many times. You are very congenial and very talkative, and I will just learn to live with it, and just rewind.

Hey there. Thanks for watching and I am happy to help. Feedback noted. FYI- in most of my lessons inside our membership I play and sing the songs as a play through. Often times on KZbin I cannot do that due to copyright.

@@RelaxandlearnguitarThank you for responding, and noting copyright issues, that I can understand. I also love when you sing along and play.

Great tutorial - easy to follow as a beginner. At the 5:30 mark, the "4_DA", the D is shown on count 3, but it sounds like you play it with the D on count 2 like "4D_A". The way you play it sounds right, but doesn't match the visual (if I'm reading it right).

tx Kevin. BTW Your lesson on changing chords using muscle memory you referred me to has helped a lot for the barre cords! I've made more progress in 3 days than I have in 3 months. Still have a way to go but if I play real slow I can actually swap from an open G to a B minor and the strings don't go dead! Tx very much! Better get a treat upgrade for Maggie LOL!

Great! Maggie gets some beef! Lol

Having fun learning this but have trouble barring the A chord with the index finger. I find it easier to leave the first finger on the second fret third string and just swivel the index and third finger across. Give Maggie May a pat from me.

Asking about up strumming. When you strum up do you intentionally miss the high e string? Or do you just aim for the bottom 3 strings or what? PS Thanks for the video
@Relaxandlearnguitar Жыл бұрын
Aim for the bottom 3 settings. Hitting the high e is fine. You just don’t need to strum up on all the strings 👍
@WildBill1120 Жыл бұрын
Do you mute the high e on the A chord; or the low E? It sounded like you said high e. 🤔
@Relaxandlearnguitar Жыл бұрын
Both actually. I mute the high e when I use that mini barre.
