Hi Kevin Thank you so much for taking your time to make these videos. You got a great way of teaching. I am 54 and I’m just starting to finally learn how to pick. I’m kinda like you with carrot size fingers so sometimes I can’t see where your middle finger is landing. And thanks to Maggie May and Vicky for the support they give you I’m glad I found you. I have so many videos to watch and learn from.

Great video, I am really getting it down now. This is probably the easiest instruction I've seen on KZbin. Kevin you do a great job thanks so much..one question What strings and guage do you use,??

Awesome! Happy to help. I use Daddario phosphor bronze light 12- 53’s

@Relax and Learn Guitar that's what I play thinking about going to 11s but they don't sound well on my Taylor, if I were younger I would go back to Martin ,Taylor is just easier to play with these smaller and older hands. I played Martin tell about a year ago. The music store doesn't have the stock anymore, due to the economy. This place had any guitar you wanted. I have a Taylor 214ce deluxe and it is a very nice guitar, just real bright!
@Relaxandlearnguitar Жыл бұрын
@@DavidS19551 that’s a nice guitar! You could try a warmer string but will probably stay pretty bright.
@DavidS19551 Жыл бұрын
@@Relaxandlearnguitarsorry to bother you, what do you suggest to make it warmer??
@Relaxandlearnguitar Жыл бұрын
@@DavidS19551 you will have to experiment. But I have used John Pearse light 80/20’s on my Martin before and they were pretty warm.

I use my ring on the 2 to 4 slide on string 3 and middle on 2nd string 3rd fret. Think of a D chord shape there to help

If I use the DDUUDU pattern how would I play D chord in the chorus . Great job. Love this song. Love your videos
@Relaxandlearnguitar2 жыл бұрын
Hi Terry ! Thank you and I am happy you love RLG! I assume you are talking about the last D in the chorus. If so you would need to change that little instrumental part with the D and the 4, 2 and open frets on that 3rds string. I would do this to end the chorus after the first D DU UDU on the D then play: D DU UDU D 4 2 0 2 The numbers represent the fret of that 3rds string Enjoy!
