Just noticed that the clock on his hat actually says its nine when it starts, and Corvus mentions that the appointment is at nine. Thats some nice attention to detail, especially since it would be easy to forget about it when setting up

@@user-lu9ll2bc1l Because it's a prop, and frequently they are set up on the spot for a recording. He most likely has a script, which implies a few options here: he has a specific time written down and made sure the hat matched it, he has a specific time and planned for his recording to occur at that time therefore keeping the hat clock accurate to normal time, or lastly he has a note to use whatever the time at recording was and just kept the clock accurate. Now given that he states 9, but not PM or AM, that last one implies that he recorded this at 9pm or 9am sharp. Both of these are plausible, but there's one thing that makes me doubt it. I don't know the behind-the-scenes for his setup, but I would suspect that he does multiple takes of these videos considering how smoothly he transitions from one part to the next. Multiple takes would necessitate that the time be different every time he says it, and for the sake of a clean video and being realistic to a doctors visit, the time would want to be an even one, such as on the hour or half hour. This is why I think he instead specifically chose 9, and whenever he did another take simply made sure the clock was back at the 9 o'clock mark. The reason why i mentioned it as nice attention to detail is because all the other setup could easily overshadow that little action, so it could have been forgotten between takes.

This was the first ASMR video I’ve ever seen. It was mid 2015 when I discovered this video after searching for videos of plague doctors. I didn’t know what was going on, but I was intrigued, so I ended up continuing to watch out of curiosity. I ended up falling asleep on the couch, it was one of the best naps I’ve ever taken. I know you probably won’t see this, but thank you for introducing me to the world of ASMR. Although I haven’t kept up with all of your videos, you’re still my favorite Asmrtist, and I appreciate you for all the amazing videos that have helped me sleep throughout the years. I hope you’re safe, healthy, and happy. Thank you, E.R. - A forever grateful viewer.

Good Lord, I've been trying to explain this feeling to my wife for YEARS (ok like 2 years). She used to trace imaginary pictures on my back with her fingertips and of course I'm like "sweet dear baby Jesus that's good". So turns out that weird/good feeling I get from random things has a name! ASMR. Idk if everyone experiences it differently but I get a really good feeling like morphine that starts in the center of my brain and goes all the way down my spine. This is awesome, it's like I'm a mutant and just discovered a whole group of other mutants who understand haha XD

I was unsure about this at first. I felt that I had few options for self-help with a slight panic attack that set in when I realized most of my friends live too far away to walk out and see. I'm a touch based person for how I like to interact, so closeness is something that I don't like to loose. I couldn't get myself to settle down from the attack in the usual ways, and thus went into a spiral of bad thoughts from the friends I can't reach, to loved ones I lost. Then the grim reaper entered into what I was thinking about, and how Plague Doctors had to have practically walked hand in hand with him. Then I remembered that in one of my Plague Doctor searches, I had seen this video's tab. I pulled up youtube and made a hustle to bring it up, hoping it would help. What finally calmed me down was the start of the tongue clicks. After that, I've been alright. With this on, so far my normal tension triggers haven't really done anything to me. It's so strange what sound can do... Thank you so much.

jake huston Hey, saying stuff like that is really likely to make EphemeralRift feel uncomfortable or upset. What if he's a huge fan of Heather Feather? I'm going to share a bit of etiquette advice from Ryan North. This was written about comics, but it applies equally well to ASMR videos: "If you love something online, sending the creator of that thing a nice note is an awesome way to let them know. It makes our day! But when you’re doing this, please please please don’t say “I love your comic, it’s so much better than [some other comic], I honestly can’t stand that thing!” A lot of us are friends, so that’s a crappy thing to read! And even if we’re not, even if it’s a complete stranger, hearing “you’re better than this guy who sucks” isn’t the greatest compliment in the world. When I get messages like this I hesitate to even write back, because I feel like by even accepting the compliment I’m also endorsing the criticism of someone else! Instead of “I love your [x], it’s better than [y that sucks now or perhaps has always sucked]”, I recommend "I love your [x], it’s had [y impact on my life, in any way great or small, and I wanted to say thanks].""
@jeremyjones5959 жыл бұрын

Maybe he relaxes people into a hypnotic state and then gets them to commit the crimes as himself.His side henchmen have similar powers and always have their own staff of thugs.He has a small, tightly knit ring of friends in the occult, including his brother, the professor, who is a more competent and dangerous man, Martha, who is more cunning, though weaker willed, Dave, who is an informant and never directly used for anything, and has the support of the Deep one community. Occasionally, one of his actual patients will arrive to do trouble on his behalf, with eldritch abilities.

Corvus mesmerized me, he was unsettling but hypnotizing, and very serious and professional in his weird treatments. My point: I love this Corvus. It's so...different from what the good doctor has evolved into (the quirky, sometimes bumbling benefactor). I like where Corvus has gone, don't get me wrong, but this more macabre proto-Corvus is still my favorite of your characters, since I somewhat consider this video to be separate from the rest of the Corvus sessions. I can't say that i'm huge on all of your videos (just the truth), but you never fail to impress me with how creative you are. The amount of effort you put into coming up with the characters and their costumes is phenomenal and i love it!

I must say, I was freaked out the first time I watched this, and immediately closed the video. Today, several months later, I gave it another shot, and triggered right away. Had to snap out of it to hit the subscribe button.

That is exactly my experience with his character Margaret. I've probably watched his hour long Margaret videos more than 10 times a piece now.

You aren't usually normal with ASMR. I like that. Gives it a twist and new experiences and triggers for tingles. Loooooove this video and the minecraft ones. The trigger test one was pretty amazing as well. Thanks for these

Four years ago and this was my first asmr video with uncle E. Was 14 at the time, now I am 18. Still watching rift to this day ofc. But oh how time flys by. I wonder if I come back to this in the next 4 years and see this comment again. Looking back at how much has changed. If I'm still friends with the same people. Heck if I'm even still alive. I hope for the better for me. Also for the ones I love, and care about. But knowing my luck, myself, my loved ones and the people I truly care about, saddly it probably won't.... I'll keep my head up. Keep on being that medic in the feild. Believing that it will get better. Try to be that soldier little 14 year old me wanted to be. Heh, Anyways keep at it uncle E. (That was sort of a message to myself in the future. Thanks for reading if you did, who ever you are.) - love, past me.

For some reason, my sound stopped while I was in another tab, so I heard "I must remove the gloves." And end. Like the removal of the gloves was so shocking, we got knocked out. On another note, I like the clock hat! It both looks cool, and sounds nice.

I don't know what gave me more tingles, the bottle cap or the fact that somebody finally listened to my suggestion. Thank you Uncle E. Peace from Illinois

“She had only just awakened here a few days ago. She was afraid of everyone and everything there, though you couldn’t blame her, with the sudden death of her mother taking her by surprise. Her anxiety was through the roof at all times, and hadn’t slept a bit (or so she thought) since her first day. There wasn’t a single person there that didn’t terrify her, and she’d seen many of these strange plague doctors walking the halls, but this one? For some reason, he scared her the most. “Four months later, he’s the first person she truly trusted.”
