I love using scraps for backgrounds. A lot of times I don’t even make them into squares or rectangles. I just leave them however they were when they went in the scrap pile.☺️. And yes, gluing is so much fun! Love it! And love your pages!

Hi, I love all the scraps of color for backgrounds. Thanks for the ideas. I used to draw lines going all which way, not straight lines, then I'd color them different colors. I just loved doing that. I love tetris! One year, on spring break (89 or 90 when we were 12), my friend stayed for the entire week and all we did was play tetris and listen to bohemian rhapsody. We played tetris so much that when we closed our eyes we could see blocks falling 🤣🤣

I use the articles from Vogue and other magazines that I never read as backgrounds. However I always cut out the larger quotes for words.

How do you sort and store all your pieces?

I store them in baskets. All my larger fussy cuts in one basket, smaller fussy cuts in a smaller basket, squares in another basket....and then I stack them on top of each other. I also have some plastic storage containers with lids for fussy cuts and square images to store until I add more to my working baskets.
