Almost time for me to get back to life. Spent the last few years overcoming cessation and the wierd effect it had on me. I became an amnesiac at 18 as self dissolved into the expansion and contraction if outer and inner see hear feel. Technically I forgot myself as a self but the knowledge remained it just flowed out of me in new and interesting ways. At first I did not care about my past but a few years ago other effects of my practice appeared and I had to know what had happened. In order to turn the unconscious conscious I began using music and visual imagery as a way to activate my system. Little did I know it was actually something I learned to do long ago and even more amazing was to find out later that someone else used the same techniques. It's why I'm fond of shinzen he understands things at my level. I actually first used music and imagery or mtv while doing horse stance meditation in order to stimulate all 3 senses. Pain sound image. This boosted my entry into cessation since I could already attain states of kensho without ever having meditated. Mindfulness does the trick just fine. Meditation is actually a booster in my opinion. Anyway engaging the system this way also can cause memories to bubble up to the surface. Another thing that helps to turn the unconscious into the conscious is to hear another person explain it. Since each individual is conscious and unconscious of different things by looking at a bunch of individuals explain the same thing and trying to match it to an experience causes it to become conscious. Articulating things can also be benefited in the same manner as turning the conscious into the unconscious with the added dimension of gaining a larger vocabulary or learning about anatomy and physiology or health and fitness some things even extend to physics and chemistry even math. By expanding upon our knowledge base we can increase the way we articulate what we are conscious of. It's why in the current age we have more words and in the past fewer words. The more words we have the more we have uncovered. Back then the word spacetime did not exist. But it does now and I can use the word spacetime to explain all kinda of things that previously would not have been explainable without the word spacetime. And the same holds for a holistic approach. Soto quite the lao tzu the more we put into it the more comes out of it. And it is non self or a sensory system. In the past it was referred to as form and emptiness. These are descriptive terms. I held a different point of view on it as the dynamics of anatomy and physiology or form and function. Although emptiness is understandable. I have a form and within that form there is empty space. Sometimes some areas relax or some areas tighten sometimes they are more easily perceived sometimes they dissappear altogether. Here is shinzens explanation for the dynamics of form and function as they relate to inner and outer see hear feel. Important to note that the system is reactive interactive proactive and at rest. Kensho is defined as rest currently but I think it's more proper to just call it a complete experience whatever that experience may be as shinzen often comments. Also I should add there are different ways to engage the system but I used mtv because music is moving and images are touching. kzbin.info/www/bejne/sHakiKqbnt96ecU
