Beautifully created video Hazy. Full respects. Survival? I was actually on the street for 17 years of my life. All my food came straight off the street after a busy city day. I mean I would scoop it up in my hands for all to see. There was also the bins (street bins) or the skips where the rats would scurry to the corner. How they got in there always amazed me. Maaan it got rough...I never thought I would make it and many friends never. I think of them to this day. 10 years on and I look very different as does my brother Paul. So I appreciate your survival skills here because I get the point of it. It would be good to put them to the actual test though because nothing beats real life such as in a flood scenario. All the best. Mark.

Haze Outdoors Hi Hazy...yeah the point is survival and the will to survive or come through a hard experience. It was tough...but not all homeless and without shelter...the streets aren't like that. it's a long story involving addiction and rejection...on the fringe none the less. I liked your video..well shot and beautifully presented. We all get better. Any way all the best. Mark.

It's nice to see what people in the UK pack in their bug out bags. In the States, we mostly pack Chuck Norris photos. Never quite understood it myself. I always carry a Bruce Lee, but I'll admit to having an emergency Jackie Chan photo in my car's trunk. To each their own I suppose. I ought to buy some swim medals for my wall, that's a good idea.

Soul food for sure. Lol the 4am knock. Good job you'd taken your sussies off :-) People go to far with prepping, but you raise a valid point about having basic gear at the ready - the 10C's, med kit, personal info / records, comms, etc. Good humour though. Hope you get your picture signed lol. 2 questions for you - Bushbox XL or Firebox (I have the latter, toying with the former except the latter can use solid fuel on too), and what make are yer trooosers. You need to get your lady wild camping more. Cheers

Great video bud. Always best to get out when you can. I can tell you from what I've learned I already have a disaster bag, or BugOutBag and have had it for awhile. Usually I take it with me when I go out of state or camp even, just because I know what is in it and trust when it is on my back, along with knowledge, I will be taken care of. But it is alittle cumbersome. So as I see your rucksack is large, what does it weigh? Again. Great video.

Really enjoyed that video, I did almost exactly the same thing on Sunday in my local woods, found a little spot out of the way, set up my tarp, made a brew, was having a wicked time, then out of nowhere a huge white Staffordshire bull terrier comes charging towards me, he had no ill intentions, but man did I shit a brick, my coffee went flying, and I jarred my neck, it's stiff as hell today, I'm walking around like robocop. On another note, I have the same axe, and although the paracord looks tidy enough, you could make it look far sexier. I got some really thick leather off cuts off eBay, think it's like saddle leather, cheap as chips and some leather cord and made an awesome protector, check out MCQ's tutorial on KZbin, highly satisfying to make.
