Hi Graham, that is a good spot for a park up and the views are fantastic, living in the southwest it is a bit of a drive, think about doing overnighters in D&G. there are loads of spots.

It’s a bit of a drive getting up to where I was parked, but the hotel and facilities are near at hand. Not to mention the vies and walks as well.

This is a no tenting area in the summer, but if you walk a short distance up the \west Highland Way it is OK.

That was lovely Mac, great to hear birds and blissful peace. Burger looked magic too. Weather been pretty good here in Lanarkshire this weekend so home town been a bit too busy for me but the loch here draws people in luckily no jet skis!

This is a great spot for an outing on a summer’s day, a Loch, beach and a hotel; the views are fantastic as well. Some of the countryside in Lanarkshire looks interesting might get a passport.

Love a wee trip to Loch Lomond Mac ye should try the Fintry inn for a wee meal at the campsies brilliant food in their it’s just a wee pub that sells food

The Mennock pass will be packed just now, but Johnny might be able to get a good run, but you could always go up to Wanlockhead for a pub lunch. The food was good when I was there and Johnny would be welcome.

Seem to be the more dedicated that use that spot the party animals generally go to the bridge. I am just back from Troon and Loch Lomond after 2 nights in the van, good food but had a dodgy moment in Troon with the boy racers on the final night.
