what kind of tape are you using to mask off the edges? I've used washi but it has been pulling off my paper.

It is so good to see your video. I began my watercolor journey during COVID, and cancer, with just my little granddaughters watercolors set, while waiting for clothes to dry. I looked up watercolor tutorials and clicked on yours. You, unknowingly, were my friend, and teacher for quite a while. I am also a Canadian, living in the US. I leaned on my art (and yours) to survive loneliness, cancer, and so much more. Watercolors have brought so much joy to me. Now I share the joy and healing potential with my students. A friend who oversees workers at a non-profit asked me to make up some appreciation cards. I'm gonna use this idea for one of them, make all the fish except one per your style but use slightly subdued colors, then make one stand out, being brighter & with gold highlights, with a "You're a rare find!" sentiment. Thanks for the inspiration, on this & everything you do!

I've broken out of my frozen zone by painting very large swatches of all my paints that I'm now going to swatch other colors over. It's given me an opportunity to really see what my paints are capable of, especially on different watercolor grounds. Btw, I thought it was just me with the inability to just start so it's nice to find like artists😊 cheers!

Grew up with a fisherman Dad who loved the freshwater streams in our part of Montana. This was a bit of a nostalgic experience for me. Rainbow trout swimming in the still parts of a stream flooded through my mind. And that was long ago. About the early 50s. Thank you. ❤
