Relaxing SOLO Hike at Kamagatake.Nagaishidani
The Kamagatake - Nagaishidani route is one of the few hiking options around Mt. Gozaisho. It runs alongside the river upstream, making it a refreshing choice for a summer hike due to the coolness of the area. The main concern here is leeches; I was bitten many times, which was quite frightening. Additionally, the trail markings are unclear, so it took me a while to navigate. I nearly lost my way a few times. Some paths are also very challenging and steep. If you hike here, be sure to bring sandals or water-resistant shoes since you'll need to cross rivers.
