I've been here about 20 years and absolutely loved it when I first visited. The changes over the past 10+ years kind of made me fall out of love with this city (a not-small part of that was depression, to be fair). I miss a lot of the underground, grassroots, and quirky venues, galleried, bars, etc. But I've somewhat come around again. Videos, like this one, and like you said, have helped me to re-see the beauty and to appreciate what we have now, rather than what we lost.

As someone who grew up in San Francisco, I can tell that you covered a lot of ground zipping from one highlight to the next! It didn't surprise me to hear that you walked 20 miles on your first day. Hopefully you weren’t too cold with only one backpack full of clothes as weather can change really quickly making dressing in many layers an important coping strategy. I know all too well the feeling of having my face and hands ice cold from the wind or fog, while also sweating from a hike up some hills, making me both freezing and hot at the same time! Pier 39 is the dictionary definition of a tourist trap, but I'll still sometimes stop there because the sea lions are so fun to watch. Great vlog, and I'm glad that you had such a good time visiting my hometown!

as a born and bred jersey girl my first ever trip out to the west coast was SF and LA with my fam and sf exceeded my expectations. I didnt expect the food to be so good and the quirky little areas and the NATURE! and the BRIDGE! I fell in love and watching this brought back so many great feelings. I always thought I would move to LA someday for the constant warm weather but I think SF might take the cake even though it's not always warm. that place just felt so amazing

Great video! I love how this vlog felt like childlike wonder. I love your music choices, but as an editor, a tip I'd like to give is to adjust your music volumes more. Sometimes I couldn't hear you with the music playing, so make sure the music volume decreases when you speak.

sf is the perfect city to travel solo to! honestly if you’re staying in a good part of town & not out at night you’ll have no problems, i was actually really surprised with how not-scary it was but maybe that’s because i spent most my time in popular areas. bring the canon and the tripod too, that’s what i did
