When I was a little girl my mom worked at a nursing home and the bus dropped me off there after school. One of the residents would slowly and meticulously fold and refold her delicate handkerchiefs and I would sit with her and just melt into my chair. I had no idea why I felt so cozy at the time, but as an adult I discovered ASMR and was so happy to be able to recreate that feeling! This video is the most effective I have found. I don't know what made you decide to create this Maria, but thank you!

Maria’s old videos, where she has more of an accent and sometimes makes grammar mistakes, and says very charming old phrases like ‘very well’ that a non-native speaker would not use much, are my absolute favourite. I’ve always gotten a very comforted, asmr-like feeling from accented english, when they use the wrong grammar sometimes and make english words sound so charming!

Have been experiencing asmr my entire life, I always just thought it was normal for someone to get the pulsing tingles on the back of their neck and head when they were extremely intrigued from watching someone perform a task. However over the years I've talked to people about it and they had no idea what I was talking about. Just recently I started doing more research and found its actually got a name, asmr, and it's actually not common at all. I am truly grateful to be blessed with ability to experience this feeling.
