I love your videos Kevin! I work outdoors all over the Rochester City area and I love following around and sleuthing out your camping locations. I have successfully zero'd in on every single one so far. I never knew this little park ever existed!! Kudos for your use of a hammock. They are the BEST! You really need a down underquilt for its packability but once you fall down that rabbit hole you will have a whole closet full of gear for every season! LOL! BTW, a structural hammock ridgeline is a quick/cheap upgrade to give you consistent comfort with the diagonal lay. Cheers! Jeff

Sam's seriously the best! Glad to be back. I usually only have the issue with the pad sliding when I have to set up with trees close together like this time. Normally, it's my ideal way to sleep in any season

If ye like hamocks, think about investing in an underquilt. Down is premium but expensive. Synthetic options, apex climashield, will run ya about the same price as a thermarest pad.

I always wondered why you never put an underquilt under your hammock in that kind of weather. You would have been super warm and your feet would be warm too. An under quilt and an over quilt works well with a hammock

I like the sleeping pad better, it lets me sleep on my side if I want to, and it usually stays in place haha

@@smallplots When I get back to Ohio which I'm currently in Orange City Florida right now but in another week I'll leave for Ohio and this spring I will order a Haven tent the wider one the XL and it'll let me not only lay on my side but it'll let me lay on my back and my stomach and what's nice about it. The tarp is already part of it. I know it's kind of pricey, but I'd rather have something that works well with for me and I can't wait to order it this spring
