Why? I was a hairdresser for23 years. If you accidentally drop relaxer on the floor it will take discolor right out of the floor. Her eyebrows were fine. So I don’t understand why she would do such a thing. Wtf trying to relax the private area. That had to hurt like a MF. Can you imagine going to the er and explaining that to the doctors n nurses. Wow unbelievable. She gave a story that will live on with those Doctors n nurses. I’m speechless.

I'm almost 63 years old. I gave up on trying to get my hair to do what I wanted and not what it wanted to do. My granddaughter at 3 years old saw my hair shining in the sunshine and she told me "Grandma, you have sparkly hair like my pretty pony does". So I'm proudly showing my sparkly (white) hair and each year I have a few more to show. No products except spray-in conditioner are put on my hair. Wherever I went beauticians would exclaim about my healthy hair. Now because if medications it isn't the healthy look it should have, but when fighting an illness, you learn new priorities. There's a reason for that healthy hair I use to have. Shampoo once or twice a week, no products used and air drying, no curlers/ curling irons are used either. Just love what God gave you and be happy you have hair.

I stopped coloring when I was 45. I found out that I have this perfectly placed fat silver streak on the front of my head. I love it and it’s free! I quit blow drying and curling my hair at 47. I don’t use shampoo like I used to, either. My hair is tons healthier, but yeah, I also have a medical condition that isn’t kind to my hair, so I have to be careful. I’m 52 now, and not being a slave to styling products and dye is wonderful.

I’ve done the same, at 66, my hair is all natural and sparkly. Good luck with your health problems, hope you’re soon well again.

I have been doing exactly the same for years too, just use shampoo, conditioner, dry off a bit with a towel & then let it dry naturally...I don't use any products either ... Though I have to say I did use all that, when I was younger, alongside dying it, with box dyes at home, maybe once or twice a year. I'm naturally dark blonde, so I would just use a slightly lighter warm blonde colouring to brighten it up a little.

Some curly haired people (me included) have really coarse brow hairs that curl up and don't stay in place, on top of that the curly/coarse texture makes them look thin and messy, however that's easily fixable with a brow lamination which is much safer for your skin and eyes.

@@lavenderdust7912 I have this issue, but I am even leery of lamination. Seems like it would dry the hairs out. I have curated my eyebrow hairs over the years to get the shape I want, and now I just trim them so they don't get long enough to curl and slap some good eyebrow gel on them.

I started coloring my best friend hair while in beauty school. Years later she wanted a perm and I refused for two years because she was a platinum blonde and we already was doing all kinds of things to keep it healthy enough to keep highlighting it. I don’t know if it was because we were friends so she didn’t believe me but she calls me one day hysterical crying. She had went to the most expensive salon around us and got a perm. She said the woman only left it on her hair 5 minutes but it fried her hair. They did many treatments and when she came to my shop her hair had been a few inches below her bra strap was cut to her chin. Honestly it needed to be shaved. I have never seen hair so damaged in my life. She had to pay 100 for the perm then they changed her 100 for the treatments.

WHY WOULD SHE PUT RELAXER ON HER EYEBROWS??!!!!! I use a relaxer on a regular basis. When it starts to burn, rubbing it makes it so much worse, and not having protective oil on the scalp makes it burn faster. Then she just wipes? You have to rinse that stuff out. She needed to put her entire face under running water and try not to drown herself or get the chemical in her eyes. And why didn't she use the neutralizer that came with it to neutralize the chemicals? I have so many questions for this woman that she probably can't even answer and they all start with why. Just why.

As someone with thick, wiry, wavy eyebrows, I do understand the desire to make them more manageable. However, I have smelled perm/relaxer solution. It is horrid and corrosive, and there is no way I would ever put that near my eyes! I recommend trimming individual brow hairs so they don't form the curl pattern and using the Benefit 24 hour brow gel to get that laminated effect. It's better than soap in my opinion, but soap brows seem to work well with finer hair. Definitely better than a chemical relaxer!

Perhaps on someone with very long bushy ones, but a trim is all that is needed, generally. And why, oh WHY do none of these people do a patch test(for allergies) or a strand test (for bleaching)? The second young lady did not spend time educating herself re: bleaching do's and don'ts, AND failed to do a strand test, AND re-bleached the very next day without doing one! I feel sorry for both of them,& hope that once recovered, they tell all their friends not to do this!😮
