Relay vs Ladder Logic

There seems to be some discrepancy between ladder logic and ladder logic for PLC implementation. In my PLC programming GUI the stop and start push buttons would just be contacts defined by external input tags. The way you have shown is good in that it is easy to understand, but for a person trying to learn ladder logic for PLC implementation it will become confusing unless they understand the transition.
