If you put a permanent cattle watering station/shade area in the centre of your pasture, you could make a rotational pasture runs that extend out like sun rays. It’s a bit unconventional, but would allow you to rotate the cattle without moving the infrastructure.
@Nphen7 сағат бұрын
That would work for about half his pasture land. I always imagine putting the water trough on wheels or on a mine-cart rail. Which got me thinking that the cows would tip over the shade cart on the rail track. But then I thought of the outriggers on an excavator, holding it from falling over. That's something his current shade-mobile could modify. Make them strong enough and they become their own scratching posts. Now that's an ultimate shade cart!

A water ballasted shade shed would be harder to upend while still being mobile when it's emptied

For goats: large spools, any kind of bridge or slide. They jump naturally, so I’m not sure how much fun the trampoline would be? My local zoo has a rope bridge and piles of boulders and they love that.

I enjoy the check in with all the animals at Gold Shaw Farm. Their personalities are as interesting as their names. If Captain "Runaway Red" Janeway could only tell us her motivation, well beyond maybe juicer bugs and seeds situated away from the bigger flock, for roaming. Does Bean feel stress, doubtful as she looks fairly perky. And do Barnacus, Telemachus and Larn, plot during the evening regarding early morning break-ins? Sad about the drone, unless it is deductible as a business expense. If so trade up and devote part of a video (or an entire short) to the new tech on Gold Shaw Farm.

@@nicsxnin6786 It seems like Morgan saw little progress in the past, Toby was so easy to train, now he doesn't know what to do. He's admitted he doesn't expect much. I hope he can find a home for Abby (even his own) and find a mate for Toby.

I've got 2 cats, meenha is basically another Abbs, always getting in trouble. Cinders is exactly like Tobes, very calm and serene. Miss chaos, inhales her food whilst Cinders eats ever so gently a few bites, goes uses the cat litter, then comes back for a few more bites, if I don't watch her food, Meenha scarfs it all then pukes it our instantly. I used to feed them half pouch in the morning and half before bed. Now I feed them small portions throughout the day. They digest better. ❤❤❤

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I feel like the goats don't only like the Cluckyball because it had chicken feed at some point, but they seem to also just enjoy the structure? IDK perhaps something with a similar level of complexity for them to play in, like a jungle gym for goats, would give them something to occupy their minds to not go harassing the chickens.

The drone shot before it crashed made me want to move to Vermont like nothing else since going there. Shade-mobile mod: find the outriggers from a junkyard excavator and attach them. Might be a bit weighty. Time for bigger wheels and 2x every beam & dimension on that thing. At that point, we may as well find you an old Conestoga Wagon to put it out there for them. Turn your cattle herd into a team of oxen lol. I'll see myself out.
