GOOD JOB! I haven't had to do that yet and sure hope I don't have to. I'm not flexible enough to hold both the catch pole, and open the trap. With my luck, it would run off with my pole around it's neck. I bet doing that in the dark was fun.......must be hard to walk with nuts that big.....!!!!!

I didn’t get it on film but I got bluff charged by the mom just shortly after I turned the camera off, was pretty nerve racking getting out of there! I’m drinking a beer right now, just did this a couple hours ago

I jinxed myself saying I have never caught a bear!! I caught a big one yesterday!!! It had to be about a 6 footer or so. I just uploaded a video of it. He broke my catch pole, so we tied him up with ratchet straps!! HA! So I have questions for you......you have had to do this more that I have. How do you hold both the catch pole and open the trap? I couldn't get close enough to open the trap without him grabbing me. I finally fished some cable around the levers and opened the trap with a come along.
