We catch shiners here in our local lake up to 10 inches long. If you get in the backwaters and throw bread in the water they’ll be hitting the bread. They make great bass and catfish bait for sure. We had pet coons and a otter that absolutely loved em as well.

Golden shiners here in Kansas have been maxing out at around 14 to 15 inches long and about 6 inches wide they are way bigger than the ones you got. Abd we use them as fishing bait

Heads up blake when you unbox fish that were shipped , the Co2 that the fish produced turns the water to a low ph and their waste as ammonium , once open ammonium turns to deadly ammonia and the ph rapidly rises . Temp is not the only issue , acclimating to your ponds ph verse the bag is the real issue.
