*My first thought...And concern is that....That beautiful, massive pond took...how long to build...Everyone thought blame was getting otters. Meanwhile I'm STILL questioning Where the Caiman's are!?! I would have rather seen THEM get that pond, since they must STILL be cramped in that wooden hut in the back!! 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ They are my biggest worry & have been for awhile because that hut is already too small for one...Much less 4-5!! For all of you saying this is how wildlife rescuers do it, then your half right, depending on the depth of the pond, temp of the pond, and the amount of fish their transporting. In recent years they use helicopters and boats to air drop them in as slowly as possible and test the water and do it in the deepest part of the lake so the fish can hide for cover and adjust to the temp and everything else and not hurt themselves as they go in on the jagged bottoms, as the speed at which they are dumped in propells them downward where they can damage their body and fins ect if they we're in shallow waters were they would be exposed and get hot, breath in kicked up particles ect. When they do this their rate of survival increases, this isn't the same situation, you'd be lying if you tried to compare the two. If you we're four feet would you dive head first in eight feet of water? If you wanted a concussion im sure you would, fish may be hardy but they still get injured, feel fear and pain. This pond is shallow compared to usual ponds for this type of fish with no shade or places to hide to feel safe from predators above or escape from other fish/ animals. This isn't my feelings. These are facts. If you actually care for the fishes safety then you will do it in the safest most manageable/ reasonable way possible. And provide/ prepare as much as possible. Just finish the pond before stocking it.. yeah he already did it I know. Should have put the mosquito fish in 1st, build that bridge, landscape the area, then complete the stocking.. Also get more aquatic plants, scape the wet land filter similar to his plant scape

Kelly Farrell yeah but those fish are being dropped into deep bodies of water, theres tons of planning and calculating being put into that, the fish are released into fully functioning ponds with plants and protection from predictors. These fish have no hiding places, no plants, no shade, and they just went through a huge shock. They may survive for awhile but somethings going to eat them or they will start dying off, getting ich or another disease probably

I don't know why so many viewers are commenting on how the fish were handled and miss treated. I did not see anything wrong with how the fish were handled. They were caught with a net, that didn't hurt them, they were placed in water that came out of their pond, that didn't hurt them, they were placed in an outside pond with the water the same temperature, that didn't hurt them. As far as the method you used to empty the fish into your new pond is the exact way the fish commission stocks ponds rivers and streams with fish so that didn't hurt them either. I would guess that those comments mostly came from people that have a goldfish in a bowl named Charlie tuna. LOL
