I’ve been trying to teach myself to slow it down because tomorrow is a new day and those “cleaner” tendencies will leave you dreading the exercises at times or will even leave you injured

I would argue it's the best to be a combination of a cleaner and a closer. *You should challenge yourself, but make sure you always have a safety net.*
