“One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we’ve been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We’re no longer interested in finding out the truth. I became a Christian at age 13/14. I left everything that meant the most to me at that young age (friends, sports etc) and never got to do the stuff that I wanted to do before I became a Christian. As I grew older I became very lonely and ended up depressed. I couldn’t make make friend, I was very critical of others, I felt like I have nothing to live for. I was very unhappy, zero boundaries, putting everyone else before me, not competitive (thought this would mean I have pride). I didn’t know how to get out of the depression because I didn’t really grasp how I got there in the first place. I don’t know who I am except that I am a child of God. I think the doctrine I followed was very wrong. My biggest regret is I never got to fully be a child, to be a teen and do teen stuff, to play my favourite sport because suddenly church took priority. I didn’t matter, only God and his work mattered. I am 26 years old now and have decided to leave Christianity, I’ve got a lot of work to do, I am sad that I missed out on my own life, but I am happy I am now on a different journey. I still believe in God, but religion? No thank you.

My man spittin straight facts. The fact that in this day and age people still think a universal creator could be confined to one specific religion on one tiny planet is beyond insane. The hardest thing to do is mentally break free of what u have been indoctrinated into ur whole life. But once u do, cutting out organized religions & going straight to the source, that is when u will find clarity and become closer to the Creator. Its a shame that religion still has such a stranglehold on our planet, always dividing us with its tribalism, never uniting our species. The population is waking up tho👐

@@erictorres4889 Oh 100%. You are not alone. Many many people feel the same as you, including myself. I have a lot of anger towards Christianity and Catholicism and in general just a lot of “negative” emotions. It’s mainly because I don’t want to see people fall into the trap of fear and all these lower states of consciousness. My mums a Christian and I went to a catholic primary school, catholic high school, and this year I transferred to a Christian high school. Ever since I could remember, my parents would take me to church. I never liked it. In fact, I hated it. I dreaded every single Sunday going. The main emotion or consciousness I felt from going to church was fear. You know how pastors or preachers at church kinda raise their voice at the audience being like: “JESUS CHRIST DIED FOR YOUR SUFFERING AND YOUR ETERNAL SINS! HELL IS REAL!”... yeah well that happened often at the churches I went to. It made me really scared, like I was doing something wrong. Like I was not doing enough. Like I was somehow less than god. I was scared of hell. Looking back I laugh and think “Wow they really made me fall into the trap”. Transferring to a Christian school from a catholic school was worse in terms of the negative emotions for religion. I remember bible class being the worst, for obvious reason. The teacher always said “You dont have to believe what I say” but in contradiction say things such as “If you don’t believe in Christianity, you will go to hell”. I always felt rage and uncomfortableness in that class. Before my spiritual awakening, I did not know why I disliked anything to do with Catholics or Christians. After I kind of awoken to the fact that religions were primarily made to get people to be in lower states of consciousness such as fear, duality, divide, control, brainwashing, judgement etc, I knew it wasn’t for me.I could go on and on about this, but i am much happier and grateful that I discovered spirituality because it helps me realise that god is equal to us and that we are all equally important. Spirituality, at least the content that I consume in the topic, is not judgemental and doesn’t control the people who like it. There is no such thing as “hell”. Heck, that makes absolutely no sense. Even the main control and enslavement tactic they use such as “Turn to god, turn to Jesus, turn to Christianity or you will go to hell and god will not accept you in his kingdom”. I understand when children or teens believe in it, but when adults say they are Christian or catholic I can’t help but to be disappointed. I thought it was common sense to not believe in a god that sends people to hell. My mum still pushes the religion on me. I still remember when she told me that “astrology is evil and it will make you to go to hell”. Regardless of all of this, I cannot change anyone’s opinions, as they are their beliefs and truths, even if they seem harmful. Hopefully people will realise what they’re in, and if they don’t, that’s fine too.

Ever since I can remember, religion is something that's never made sense to me. I went to church for the first time with my aunt and cousins when I was around 7 years old or so, and I remember thinking that everything just sounded like some kind of fairytale or something like that. Then in junior high many people treated me like a leper after I said that I didn't believe in god. I'm sure that very few kids truly understand what they're being blindly pushed into, and they only believe out of fear. Whether or not that fear is their parents, feeling ostracized, some kind of divine punishment, or any combination of reasons. I don't need to believe in some kind of higher power to be a decent person in life, and if there is some kind of god and they can't accept that, then why would I want anything to do with them in the first place. It's understandable that many people fear death and what comes after, but it's a very freeing feeling to realize that for you, nothing happens when you die. The universe existed before you were born, and it will continue to exist after you die. None of which will matter to you because you won't be there, your "conscience" will simply cease to exist.

If only people understood the good news. Jesus is not asking people to be perfect or to obey to get to heaven. Salvation is by Him alone, he is Yahweh, and it is a free gift. That is what grace(unmediated favor) means, it is Him accepting us without us earning it. Ephesians 2:8-10. I hate that people drive people away from him. Believe me, I've sensed his spirit. They teach a bible they do not understand because they do not study the Greek and Hebrew and historical context of it, they do not understand the idioms, alogories, hebrewisms, the poetry, conceots, etc, they even think the lost people go to burn forever in the afterlife. The holy spirit led me to learn these things. Christians hide the truth.

I get you. I remember having a conversation with my mom about why I am no longer a Christian, I told her my reasons: I never liked being told what to do, the Bible has spread hate on people living with LGBTQ+(even though the story of David and Jonathan's relationship is more leaning to another kind of relationship), how women are subjugated to be submissive, the destruction and demeaning of ancestral religion and spiritual practice eg. Thinking voodoo from Haiti is demonic when people can choose to do evil and good under the guise of said religion, also how African medicine is deemed evil when it's not, how African people are cursed via some verse in the Bible and funny how pagan religious events beautifully fit into Christian events eg. Easter(Ishta), Valentines Day, Christmas Day, Holy Communion etc.

I like your argument. I was a part of faith, for 16 months. What I didn’t like, was the phoniness. Because the community, are attempting to uphold the standards, and expectations of Jesus/God no one gets to truly be themselves. I joined, due to me being influenced by my ex. Under any means, he wouldn’t have gotten into a relationship with me… unless I was Christian, even though he had feelings for me and was attracted to me. My experience was that, the church environment is predicated on absolute and total control. There’s many facets, such as: Family influence (it is often a Christian’s birthright to be exposed to it, without their choice), and church influence (if you disagree, or don’t abide to their expectations you are rejected… albeit in a subtle way). A lot of people join, trying to find a decent community that they can connect with. Let me tell you, as soon as they think you’re ‘in’, they won’t bother with you anymore. You blend in with the rest of them, feeling so terribly alone. From my experience, a lot of Christians feel isolated, and lonely in their church community. It’s because, again, we aren’t allowed to express what we truly feel. We are conditioned to feel shame, and punitiveness toward very natural, and human processes. My ex was repressed, and controlled in so many ways. He would be influenced, and swayed easily by what the church community thought of him (in unconscious fear of rejection). His self-awareness was also very low, due to a lack of self-introspection. Any personal issues he’d face, he’d pray to God to deal with it for him, rather than face it himself. Christians also have an implicit superiority to them. Anyone of the ‘world’, is lower… even though they like to argue that they see them in a loving light, that isn’t how collective consciousness works. You adopt the mentality, and ways of life (culture) of the group, or you are the ‘other’.

Amen bro. That's exactly, eventually what caught my attention & afforded me to exit. Unfortunately, 34 years too late. I've been deconditioning ever since. Today, at 41 yrs old, I used to be ashamed but I've learned to forgive myself. I'm still floored at just how much I wasn't experiencing true reality. In fact, learning to live w/o religion has been like being born again, but fully aware this time. I'm learning how to eat, walk, talk, cry, shit, etc.... ALL over again, while the rest of human kind is on the race track making their millionth corner. I found out I had no tools to survive out here. Education & anything else outside of being a wife & mom was frowned upon & shunned as a consequences. I was ousted at both 13 & 17 yrs old. No. I wasn't a bad kid at all. Well, my folks let some jobless stranger we didn't know move into our home, w/ just me there all day as I home schooled. I tried to speak to 3 separate clergyman, tey all said they were busy. My very own father caught the man during the 1st initial assault. He stated his concern for us running the car battery down & asked that we start the engine, then he was gone. I remember feeling hopeless & abandoned my body went limp & stopped fighting while I cried very very quietly like I was told to. l was heavily utilized as a tool daily for a year. He finally left for another girl who was 15 at the time. She has 5 kids w/ him today, & he's since been promoted upwards within the congregation. My judicial consequences were served in the public for all to hear bc I was a possible threat to other family's & their children (as if I'M the pedophile?). He got away unscathed. I was shunned for 10 months & labeled a whore. My mom reminded me daily that I was now ruined. I was excluded from recreational events like wedding, picnics, etc. Lost all of my friends I grew up w/. Here's the kicker.. once I was allowed to socialize again, men & boys flooded my body boundaries having heard I was "easily giving". Some nights I'd wake up to fingers moving under my blanket. So many nights. Eventually uncle's. I REALLY got in trouble for telling my folks about that. There was a chuckle when I asked for therapy at 16. Thank goodness I'm amazing today. **BELIEF SYSTEMS DICTATES REALITY** M MAKE SURE & DUMP ANY OLD SEDIMENTS FROM LONG-AGO**

It’s not even remotely nice at all. Some people heard I wasn’t religious and immediately started telling me how to live my life. Saying in their own words that god will control me if I don’t believe. Saying I will go to hell and that I should consider listening like they’re some heightened being. It’s absolutely disgusting considering how reasonable I can be. It’s all fear from people like this because they never listen to the other sides view and will certainly never listen to actual logic. All 3 Abrahamic religious beliefs(Judaism ✡, Christianity ✝️, and Islam ☪️) doesn't want people to think, feel & live their lives as individuals, because they can't control & manipulate individuals, but they can do so as a collective. As a Ugandan South African woman it's taboo to "Shock the System" and say why I don't believe in Christianity and why I am not a Christian because Christianity is the biggest religion in Uganda and in South Africa. I honestly feel relieved and free. I remember my older brother saying con artists and Pastors are the same (or anyone selling or preaching about religion to buy into their product which is "saving your soul from eternal hell", "wanting a better life" etc). They just have to market to a new market(gullible, greedy broke and too religious just depends on their audience desire ) hence you wonder why a Pastor or a celebrity does a shady thing and you want to cancel them🍷.

FEAR AND RELIGIONS... Sigmund Freud wrote that religion is a delusion created by our subconscious mind in its attempt to deal with fear. He taught that humans are subject to three innate fears: the fear of death, the fear of the destructive forces of nature, and fear associated with suffering and the physical demands of life. He believed that humans sublimate these fears by repressing them and then transmuting and redirecting them through the culturally acceptable expression of religion. For Freud, God is nothing more than our subconscious desire for a father figure in the sky to protect us from harm, and heaven is simply our fantasy of a place without labor and suffering... So Religions are in it's self based on FEAR... Most religions are based on the premise that something is wrong with the world that impedes the realization of our ultimate objective, happiness, which is often viewed in temporal terms. Religions generally strive to, 1) explain this human predicament of people aspiring to an ideal temporal existence that is beyond their reach, and 2) explain the presence of evil and injustice that plagues every community. Theology is basically the worldview of a religious tradition regarding the nature and purpose of existence and the fundamental problem that we need to overcome in order to realize our ideal existence.

Religion is like cutting the true tree of life and replacing it with a plastic Christmas Tree. Magic is feeling the mysteries of life, religion is following dead, boring rituals that have no more magic in them. love is magic, traditional institution of marriage is like religion, it deadens the soul with boredom (unless is sacred marriage which is very rare indeed)

If god created all of the evils in this world such as serial killers, pedophiles, famine, disease, drought, starvation, hate, deformities, greed, anger, depression, schizophrenia, suffering, abuse, etc., etc , etc.. This is an entity that shouldn't be praised or worshipped. This is not love or goodness. If these things were intentionally created then the creator is sadistic and evil. I had problems with religion when I was very young... to young to know what I was saying or what religion really was to be honest. We changed churches once and my dad quit going with the family so it was basically just Mom and I. But soon people were wanting change again and they - the Church people - were criticizing my Dad and family. I honestly wonder - if maybe I had a future based on my intelligence and good behavior - would someone bribe a Minister or a Church in some way to hurt certain members. I remember my Dad after some things happened ... I asked him how he liked his new church and he got a really sad face and refused to talk. I read about churches who force sex on people and photograph the sex and all or force other activities... who knows what... and I guess they can be really horrible to people. I sort of understand because I have been there half way... but you can't explain this to people... people have to live this stuff for it to be real to them. But a business model... and successful model that has passed the test of time... we are all young and confused when we are exposed to this and children are told to obey adults and conditioned to do what adults tell us to do. I don't want to criticize religion because they keep all this information and even if they lie when they lie about you it still hurts... but they do not HAVE to be honest. The stuff they tell us sometimes... I believed the church people were pushing me out and all I can figure is that I was Not having sex with them and Not doing stuff with them that they could use against me. Being good might not be what people really want... they may want that dirt. But I do believe an outside person or group may have been active. They may have wanted me to change religion. But why would I care? Basically they all use similar Bibles if they are Christian and who would waste their time with a cult or a non-Christian religion... particularly if you are raised Christian. And as to claims that Christianity causes "problems"... Religious people find some words in the Bible and decide to use this word or thought to base their beliefs. But surely they could - if they wanted - use different passages and different words already in the Bible and twist things around somewhat. I do not advocate change... I advocate keeping my nose to myself and working hard and smart. But if society wanted to change... well, I'm not sure that any other religion is any better than Christianity.

My thoughts about religion? People get into religion not because of some reward but because it provides a moral framework from which society can be controlled by idealising a "purpose" a social map of ethics, and that is where constitutional democracy has failed miserably because the state did not come into existence to replace the religious strategy on society but to convescate and control the wealth of kings, princes barons, counts and dukes, which has also failed because that wealth has returned back to oligarchs or "entrepreneurs" as we like to call them nowdays.🎉

What Jesus taught is different from what you see today. First century church had no buildings, tgey met in houses and in public places. There was no tithing. Thats a fact. Modern organized churchianity ignores many basic principles found in scripture. I can't bring myself to attend anymore as I see these things and can't ignore them. It truly is unfortunate they shy away from actually obeying the bible.

@@animegtrailer5208 Your hate and anger is clearly visible in your words. Stop calling people idiots because you couldn't understand something properly. I just read the thing that you referred to, and it's a complete misunderstanding of true Christianity. 1. True Christianity is not about seeing a successful man/woman of GOD and thinking "If I believe in GOD I will get there too" Although such people exist, they do not define Christianity. Instead, true Christians are those that want to serve the Creator, by spreading love, help, Kindness with others, living a truly fulfilling life that is not based on worldly material success, but on TRUE Spiritual development for an eternal reward. 2. Talking about spirituality, Christians do not HATE other religions. Instead, the fake ideologies behind them. Let's take Islam, it says Jesus Christ was a prophet, when it is clear that multiple times throughout the BIBLE, Jesus has claimed otherwise. There is clear history and proof that supports what has been written in the BIBLE, from the beginning to the resurrection to the lives of the disciples/prophets. Coming to Buddhism or any similar religion that promotes empty spirituality, it is all a form of escapism. Escaping the so-called "maya" or reality, and spending life breathing under a tree, to attain "moksha" Instead of FACING reality and the world. Speaking about Hinduism, it is about idol worship. Millions of gods. Mythology. What else is needed to see through it? 3. Who is the businessman? Who is going to gain what? You can say "pastors earn" because they have to make a living too dammit. Will you say doctors are playing with lives because they earn so much? No. Any offerings, donations, etc will go to help the poor, or develop the church. Not for anyone to live a millionaire life. Btw, if any church is indeed trying to sell you things like it's a market, remember GOD doesn't dwell in that church. Jesus himself overthrew the whole place when a market was set up in a church. 4. Nobody is called a "bad person" unless they commit some genuine crimes. And, nobody calls a fellow true Christian, a bad person. It is about accepting one's flaws. What are some flaws? Lust instead of Love. Jealousy instead of Happiness. Stealing instead of giving. Letting one's emotions control them instead of Holiness and Peace. These are all flaws that ever human possesses, not crimes. Christianity is about a constant struggle to eliminate these flaws, and live upto GOD's purpose for our lives. Even if we are sinful, GOD loves us and will ever help us to change. Yes, hellfire is to be feared, not the condition for life. All you have to do is truly believe in the Lord, live a life of Godly purpose and meaning. If you don't want to, GOD has given you free will to not. But remember, you don't lose anything of value by going to Faith. You only gain everything. So please, open your eyes to the truth, and do not let evil deceive you to believe that good is evil and evil is good. GOD bless.
