I got my M.A. in anthropology at the Department of Sociology and Anthrology at Penn State U. in 1976. It was about the time they split into two departments. Anthropology is about studying past and present cultures and the physical characteristics of man. Sociology is about studying man's social behavior. It's more detailed, and it focuses on process.
