Great video, thx. I just paid a contractor to come out and mount mine only to find out we were missing the aluminum tube😢. They should really sell everything you need in one package, but should definitely mention that you need extra tools.

G’day Relly, please to meet you mate, I like your level of enthusiasm and happy to Subscribe No932 👍🏻. Well done on your perseverance with the extra challenges installing the Neewer system you have in this video. Cheers from Western Australia 🇦🇺 👍🏻

Thanks for this video! I may try out those poles. I'm building a Mini studio and am using manfrotto set up on one end and Neewer on the other end. Those poles are even cheaper than the impact ones I almost ordered. The home stores do carry conduit that is 2" diameter but it's not aluminum and much heavier. thanks again for this video

More people need to learn how to use a handsaw. With the right blade and long strokes, you can cut through aluminum tubes or even thin solid bars pretty quick. You can get one for only $6.47 at Home Depot currently. You can also get pipe way cheaper at your local Home Depot or Lowe’s than ordering online.
@RellyMoorer2 жыл бұрын
Haha true I need to learn. No shame. At the time Lowes/Home Depot/Tractor Supply didn’t have any and said that they couldn’t cut them in store. I have no idea why but that’s what I had to deal with. I’m sure they’re good now but in my area they were slacking lol

hey awesome video I have just subscribed. What if i have a mixture of backdrop paper sizes some 86 inches long and some smaller back drop papers. Will it still work or do i need to drill holes and adjust the size. Hope you understand what I am asking hah
@RellyMoorer3 жыл бұрын
I think I understand what you're saying...As long as your backdrop paper isn't longer than the poles that you have to hold them then you should be good. If you have a smaller size then you might just have to adjust where it's attached to the pole. For example, in this video, I have gaff tape holding it in place. If I had a smaller BG then I would have to adjust the position of the Gaff tape too. Does that make sense?

I shortened them because they were the size for the 108" backdrops. The backdrops that I bought were 86" if I remember correctly. My wall wasn't long enough to just leave the tubes as is

do you absolutely need an aluminum tube to go through the backdrop?
@RellyMoorer2 жыл бұрын
Not necessarily but aluminum is the lightest and sturdiest thing. With nothing in the middle the backdrop can begin to sag in the middle over time

I installed one on our studio, but I have an issue, when we roll the paper down with the chains, there's no way to stop the paper from keep rolling down... how do you stop it? I mean, how can you avoid the papel roll keep rolling once you roll it to the place you need.
@RellyMoorer2 жыл бұрын
Hmmm I'm not sure. I would make sure that every thing is secured tightly. Something could be off weight wise too but I'm not sure how that would be

how far apart did you place the mounts?
@RellyMoorer2 жыл бұрын
Mine were about 96in (244cm). It depends on where the handles slide in too. My backdrops have about 4in (10cm) of space on both sides so they don't touch the mounts. If you're talking about the 2x4s on the wall then that just depends where the holes are on your mount when you get it.
