this is the same exact load i use for my 125gn lead cast bullets out of my 9mm with ragged 1 hole groups out of my Beretta 92fs.

Great video. Any problem with the Glock Bulge?

Made it to the range. The 100gr Berry with 3.6 grains was to light. Had a few keyhole. I went with a 95 grain FMJ at 3.5 grain. Worked like a charm. Same as your Glock my Sig loves a OAL of .970. Factory ammo sucks....

+Kenneth Smallwood Cool!....yes tweaking a custom load for the range on the G42 is best

100 gr Berry's HBRN 3.0 grains of Titegroup OAL: .950 Works well in the G42

Nice video. I like Unique a lot, but tend to avoid it in small cases at small charge weights because it's more finicky about consistent metering from my powder measure. In a small case like the .380 (which I absolutely LOVE to shoot), there's not a whole lot of room for charge variations, so I go with spherical or flattened ball powders like WSF, W231, or Ramshot True Blue, all of which give uncanny load-to-load consistency with any given charge weight. I love Unique for .45 Colt, .45 ACP, and medium-powered .44 magnum loads. In the larger pistol and revolver cases, a variation of one or two tenths of a grain from one case to the next isn't likely to exceed recommended operating pressures. Loved your turret press set-up. Mine is an RCBS Rock Chucker with the Piggyback II conversion. I can turn out 200 rounds an hour at a careful, leisurely pace, which suits my needs quite well. Again, very well done video. Cheers.

Have you tried this with bullseye powder? I just picked up these bullets last weekend and I am having a hard time finding load data for it. I have unique powder as well so I can try that.

I am also running these in a glock 42!

I loaded 100 gr Berry flat base round nose with 3.6 grains of Alliant Powder Pistol. OAL set at .970. Your opinion ?

+Kenneth Smallwood Power Pistol?
@prepperbear85688 жыл бұрын
+Kenneth Smallwood Never used Power Pistol but as long as you are below the max load for 380ACP....tweak with various loading staring at min to ensure reliable slide function.

Power Pistol is a good powder, useful over a wide range of calibers and bullet weights, in my experience. I've shot quite a bit of it in .380s, 9mms, .40 S&W, and .45 ACP, with good results. Berry's 100 gr plated round nose bullets are IMO an excellent choice for range practice, plinking, etc., and give all the accuracy a shooter would need outside of organized competition. I've shot several thousand of them out of .380s over the years and have no complaints about their performance. The trick in handloading really boils down to finding the best load for a particular firearm. Shot-to-shot consistency (I count both accuracy and velocity in that equation) is what I look for. It helps to have a chronograph to check average velocity and standard deviation (SD). Generally, the lower the SD, the more consistent accuracy will be, all other factors being equal. Once I find the magic recipe that gives me the velocity and accuracy that I'm looking for with a given bullet, I tend to stick with that. As with any load, I've found it usually works out best to find a charge weight somewhere in the middle of the published data range. Hot loads seldom work out well. Like the RCBS manuals say, if you want to shoot magnum loads, choose a magnum handgun. Good advice, IMHO. Just a few random thoughts gleaned from 35 years of reloading experience. Cheers.
