Uniquetek also offers a bunch of press upgrades. I recommend the primer slide, quick release powder rod knob, and the shell plate bearing kit as those made the most difference for me

Good going, Jesse! Congrats on the new press. Those gold Lee 356-120-TC bullets are coated with a 50-50 mix of Prismatic Bronze Chrome and Eastwood “ Shimmering Metallic Halcyon Gold”. InLine Fabrication has the little locator pin tabs as well as a lighting system that makes use of the hole in the center of the tool head. I took the powder funnels to my polishing wheel to slick them up. 🎉🤛🏻🔫🇺🇸🎉

For an inexpensive light I just replaced my old light with a magnetic base LED sewing machine light with a flexible shaft from Amazon (stuck it down to a flat electric switch plate cover screwed onto my bench)…works well for me 👍👍👍…IIRC it was $9 with Prime.

Enjoy the 550 - i recenently got the Square deal B (used) setup for 9mm. I took it all apart and cleaned and lubed it before loading anything. I spent about 2 hours getting it setup the way I wanted it. So far have loaded up 800 rounds. No issues.

I love my RL550B that i got used. You need to get some 3D printed tabs that go on your locator buttons so you can get them out easy for trouble shooting. Also check out Dramworks for a pyrex powder hopper

You must have the same dog breed as mine…nobody comes to my house that I’m not warned about…the difference is that if I go to the door while she is present, she will greet the delivery person with kisses…Blue healers are a complicated breed 😎😎😎…added …on the primer feed…I place a piece of .45 ACP brass on the end of the primer follower stick thingy for a little extra weight for feeding 👍👍👍

@@jesseboutdoorsreloading when you want to change primer size, check out KZbin. There's a faster method, where you only change the primer cup and not the whole assembly. It's much easier in my opinion.

Yep. I was done with the Lee loadmaster. I’m still keeping my Lee classic turret press. It’s a great backup press.

Not a dumpster fire . You have to remember that if you readjust any die on a progressive press , like you did with the powder die , it can affect all the dies . The initial setup is very important before you run a batch . This go's for all progressive presses . Once the setup is right then the only further adjustments are the powder charge and bullet seating depth for other combo's .

Glad you got your Dillon press. Yes it’s definitely a learning experience. I’m thinking I might set mine up for reloading 9mm at some point. Mainly reload 5.56, .300BO, .45acp and .38special with mine…..everything else is done on my Lee classic turret.

Looks like you are getting it figured out! Once you get you're process down you will fly through the ammo. That bench looks a little wobbly, making that more solid will help the press work more smoothly. I slip a 45acp case on the priming follow rod to give it a little more weight, seems to help primer feeding. I also get about 5 primers after the alarm goes off. Good video man!

Have you used HP-38 in 9mm with any 115 grain copper plated bullets? Not showing up in Lee's book.
