Gotta say, as a trail truck and crawler kinda person, this series has been an awesome intro into the drift side of the hobby for me. Thanks for the amazing work you people do.

I actually bought the Yokomo YD-2 AC RTR version from your website and I seriously love it when I got it in my hands. Best RTR 2WD out of the box and I didn’t have to mess with it adjusting camber, toe, electronics, etc. Thank you AmainHobbies 💕

I bought the MST FXX chassis kit about a year ago and it’s still sitting unbuilt in the box. But after watching your videos you have made me have the drift bug again. Been waiting for my ABC hobby S15 body with Addiction RC Rocket Bunny kit to go with it and guess what got delivered today 😜😜. I’ve really enjoyed the drift series you have done and cant wait for the next video. Want to say a massive thank you for how quickly you ship things out to me here in the UK 👍🏻, you guys are awesome. 🤙🏻🤙🏻

This is such a cool series you guys hace put together. I really appreciate the effort and all the filming and editing behind the drifter night footage! With all the lights and cars zooming by, it was a really amazing imagery! That being said, not all benefits will come from constantly shifting the weight rearward. Also, a few competitive events will limit the amount of weight bias you can shift, making you work harder on your setup to work. Maybe looking up some regs from a commonly followed RC drift competition, setting the car to fall under those regs and see where that takes you? There's an opportunity for further episodes, which I'm sure I wouldn't be alone in being thrilled to see... 🙂🤟🏻

Awesome video Brett. This series really makes me want and drift car!
@ccrum322 жыл бұрын
Yep, great job brett, it does matter that you experiment and find what works best, long wheel base, and read-bias or 50/50 bias are both good options and depends on other conditions.

Spec weight distribution for comps seems to be the optimal set up. If you have to limit rear weight, that tells you more rear weight is better. More rear weight give you the option of dialing in your grip elsewhere. Push everything to the back first and try to get to 35F/65R%. 50/50 works well for 1:1's only.

That was a great video keep up the good work and keep on drifting too and I have the same chassis as you and it goes really great but I change my electronics in it that’s what I did upgrade and with the new electronics even goes more better I wish Anybody have a wonderful day and Brett you are getting good on drifting keep up the good work

To get more tirelife i run near to 0 degrees rearcamber, combined with geometry that keeps tirecontactpatch flat to the ground even with bodyroll. It’s worth mentioning that i mainly run on concrete and asfalt

Another option for weight shift is you could use something like the round hudy chassis weights you guys sell (10g) and put it on the outer hole of the rear shock tower.
@AMain_Hobbies2 жыл бұрын
You're right, those little sticky chassis weights are a great way to shift weight around. We should have mentioned that as an option. Good idea. -Brett

Might as well look into making it rear motor like an RC buggy. Motor all the way back, battery/ESC/Reciever all stacked right in front of the wheels, servo forward. But TBH I don't get the rear weight thing. Why not just use grippier tires and more weight in general?

The goal of a drift chassis is to transition most of the weight to thr back while on throttle. And to have near 5050 off throttle... more weight over the back tires while they spin tends to Net you more total control and traction. This is at least the concept with most real drift cars... I run the front end of my actual drift car significantly stiffer than the rear of my car which helps move the weight by allowing the suspension to compress

Hey Brett. What system should you recommend to me to use on a mst fmx-d?
@AMain_Hobbies2 жыл бұрын
A popular choice around here is the XD10 Pro Drift ESC with one of the XD10 Drift motor options (our guys like the 10.5T). ESC: www.amainhobbies.com/hobbywing-xerun-xd10-pro-drift-spec-brushless-speed-controller-red-hwa30112615/p1359515 Motor: www.amainhobbies.com/hobbywing-xerun-d10-drift-brushless-motor-10.5t-red-hwa30401135/p1359518 Our guys have also been going Futaba Tx to use the Futaba gyro and Futaba servo. The smoothness and ease of adjustment from the Tx is the main drive here. I still use the RTR transmitter and Gyro on our RMX 2.0 but after driving another car with all the Futaba, the difference was very noticeable in how much easier the car was to pilot. But, it's big bucks $$$ and might not be worth it if you are only a once-in-a-while, recreational driver. Let me know any other questions you have! -Brett

Most bodies should fit. Try to avoid any bodies with low rear ends, like a flat bed truck. You'll need a rear window area on the body to have motor space. -Brett
