i think the black concealer was created to deepen the shades of the darker concealers and the white one to lighten the lighter concealers. when you mix lighter ones with the black of course it wouldn't be appealing. the black concealer would be fit with the darker shades so the concealers would adjust to the dark skinned users

The point of the black shade is for an artisty shade! also for darker skin tones it’s very helpful, some people even like to use blacks for contour… and for people who are more neutral shade in tone!

I’ve only seen the brand mention it’s for mixing, so that’s what I tested! and I can only speak from my perspective, which is why I gave it an overall no!

the black concealer is only to deepen the concealers in the shade ranges of tan, deep and rich! that's why it made it look gray :)

I little tip for the beauty blender - if you squeeze the sponge and use the sharp ring part of the sponge, you can get a lot of precision under the eye. Love the review!!

Love the review and the test of the black artistry shade. Ive been waiting for someone review the products who wasnt sponsored and who actually did a wear test! Glad to see the concealer held up, especially through the heat. The black shade mixed in to make a "greige" would be a decent contour shadow shade I guess. Or cream shadow! Also lowkey sold me on that primer. Im excited!

Idk why they said the black and white concealers are for “mixing your perfect shade” cos the only way I can see them being functional is for creating contour/highlight shades with your concealer color; as black and white only creates grey. I think it would have been great if they included blue/yellow/orange/red shades cos those are the types of colors u also need to properly lighten/darken the colors 😧

I think the black was a flop BUT it would be nice to mix in with your foundation and make a subtle contour shade 🤔

@@yadommmmm970 when you mix in the black the undertone becomes very, very grayish. Like, the kind of gray that would never be the color of someone’s skin. A better solution would be to mix in a dark red, for example, to make it darker AND have the correct undertone.
