Trust me when I say this there is no perfect skin🤣 that’s a huge myth, you aren’t seeing her skin up close the camera is the one doing it all. But yes I do agree and I know she also said it in so many lives that she wants to have time to get models to do videos on them such as for hyperpigmentation🥹 so we just gotta wait plus Nikki is a makeup artist too so all this information is still useful💃🏻 I tried it on someone and seriously!!! Game changer♥️ they have hyperpigmentation and melasma so using Nikki’s makeup advice helped her big time

I’m definitely not a beginner (I’m 62 lol), but I am always on the lookout for new (to me) ways to apply makeup. I always come away from your videos with new methods to try, so I thank you for that! The biggest takeaway for me today is letting my concealer sit for a bit before I blend. I usually jump right in and start blending and it basically disappears. We are taking our granddaughter out to eat tonight for her birthday so I’ll try this then!

I concur, on everything! Same here! I just found her channel through one of her shorts and I'm so happy. Actually paused the video to subscribe. She explains so well and clear, it's a joy! This one video cleared up a jumble of disparate questions I had which would have taken hours to Google separately. I'm a very strongly verbal and theoretical learner and autistic, so the more there's going on in a video and the more I need to rely on just watching and hoping I draw the right theoretical conclusions, the worse I'm learning. The clean, crisp visuals no distraction in the form of background or music and her explanations not only how but also why - all perfect for me! I'm off to watch some more of her videos... Maybe I find something about concealing violet panda eyes. Asking for a friend...

Nikki, I am so thankful to your KZbin channel because your expertise is top notch. You explain and demonstrate each step so simply which allow us to implement them on ourselves. The best part is that what you teach us works is ageless because is about technique and doing things correctly. To tell you the truth, I forget that I am 60 years young and I really did not struggle much with makeup because I have always loved playing with makeup. I was that big Sister playing makeup and putting makeup on my little 2 year old Sister! However last year 2023, I did not use makeup at all. I was fighting for my life. Within 6 months, I almost died 3 times battling cancer. I had a lymphoma the size of a small watermelon growing onto my throat, ear, neck, throat, brain. Then I was told I had stage 4 cancer on my face, neck, stomach, spleen, liver, kidneys, one lung and bone marrow. Towards the end of my fight, my body shut down, I experienced complete hearing loss and I was incubated and put into a medical coma. I had emergency surgery while I was still in the coma to safe my life. My body was rejecting the port implant where they were administering the chemo from. It was definitely a terrible ordeal but, I did not do it on my own. Once I became conscious and realized I had no control of anything and had no strength whatsoever, I had God to surrender it all. He carried me through it all. I held on to Him and when it became unbearable, I prayed and praised God and it got better. I was told it would take a while for me to go home because I would need rehabilitation and would have to learn to walk again and get strong. Well, I claimed differently with God! God and I had plans! I went home a week after a woke up from my coma. I walked the day before and I was able to spend my Son's birthday at home with him. They had to discharge me because my exam results stated, I was cancer free!!! Two weeks later, my hearing was also restored to normal!! It's been a year since my ordeal and it hasn't been an easy road towards my recovery. I had complete hair and tooth loss, scars from the surgery, and dark-skin damage from being allergic to medical tape. I have great days and I have blessed days when I have to remind myself of my blessings. I look like I have gone through a battlefield but, I am so grateful for my blessings. I started getting reacquainted with the new me. I am so thankful I have my love of makeup to help me get a little of the old me back. Some people think makeup is no big deal but it really is. You have helped me so much by sharing your skills with us and because of it, you have enriched my life. Don't forget it Nikki, you are making a difference, your passion and sacrifices are making a difference. I look forward to watching your next video and playing makeup! 💯💖🙏🏽💄🦋😘🙌🏽✨🐶🌹🤗✌🏽

I have a quick question on blush, is there proper placement for a particular face shape? I tend to place blush on the apples of my cheeks, but I see other people placing it higher on their cheekbones. Is that the most universally flattering or is there different placements depending on your face shape? Again, thank you for being such a great educator in this space! I am learning so much!💕

This is very soothing to read that I'm not alone in learning to do my makeup better after 40! Until now, I was sadly too busy surviving and coping and my disabilities leave little energy, so makeup is a luxury for me in many ways. But I've realised it's something I always wanted to be able to do for myself and do it better than the bare minimum of lipstick and mascara. And I'm self conscious of the fact that most who start learning make-up skills are probably less than half my age, silly as that notion is. So your comment and a few others really helped me to hopefully stop thinking about that and starting to just enjoy the learning process. I'm an artist, the techniques like handling brushes come easily to me. It's my perfectionism and some of my disabilities (like shaking hands) that get in the way... So thanks for sharing your experience and your age, it helped! Wishing you all the best and so much fun with your own learning! Kindest greetings, Mara
