If you notice, the leg wasnt cut off by chains but by some air attack that cut his throat, same one used by ram to cut his cheek. So both times it was her who did that, even when his first mansion death had his arm on chandelier. So Ram when killed her in forest, the line "my sister is kind" cuz she didnt let subaru be tortured.

@@bryangarcia5207 was it? cuz i haven't read the novel but none of rem's powers cause dismemberment as they need a cut to do so and not blunt force trauma. Its how he lost leg while running away from killer rem & got throat sliced. And in Subaru's 2nd trial she's seen explaining to Ram how she killed him cuz he would only suffer otherwise, meaning Ram was already present & hand cutting was probably her as a way of torture (since arms can be reattached as evident by crutch, which they'd still not do unless he did something to gain their favour)

Important fact is Ever since subaru summoned into rezero world, subaru have mental conflict with 7 deadly Sin vs 7 virtues. Based on it author of rezero wrote IF Stories which shows "what will happen if Subaru take wrong path " So the end of this episode is checkpoint for "Wrath If" or "next episode " WRATH IF shows "what will happen if Subaru takes betty help and runaway"

Hey you don't have be confused ...all the answers are in next episodes like why Subaru died by weakness...why Rem died of Weakness....and Rem killing Subaru is already explained - She smelled Witch's smell from him and she thought he is from the witch's cult so she killed him .... because Witch's cult have something to do with - Rem & Ram's past and yes Prez was right the reason of smell of witch on Subaru is due to the power he havw .....so enjoy the show...

Prez really paid attention, lol, what some reactors don't do with this show, what is crucial, since every moment in this show matters, for example, Emilia interactions is to show how she is the best girl for Subaru, since she is the only who truly cares for him, lol

It baffles me how so many people don't understand Rem attacking Subaru especially with the information we receive later in the show. I'm not going to enact the labor to explain because her reasons should be obvious even to a blind man wearing nose plugs, wool gloves, noise canceling headphones and had his tongue cut off. All I will say is that people need to remember that Rem cannot see what the viewers see. Hopefully that isn't too cryptic... Edit: No hate to the reactors they didn't say anything but everytime I watch these couple episodes, it bites me that there are people out there who use it as a reason to hate on Rem. Like come up with a more sensible reason because using these episodes is just really dumb.
