💕 Beautiful job. I come from parents, that have been working with wood, since I was little ( I'm now 60! ) I agree with you...I don't care for solid color stains. I did prefer the natural bamboo. 💕

Oh, that is so cool! It must have been wonderful to have been raised in a home with that knowledge. I love the look of natural wood. It's hard for me to put any finish on it, but especially something that is essentially paint. Thank you for your kind comment! ❤😊❤

That was impressive. I think the finished product looked amazing. I did like the contrast of the natural bamboo but I think the dark went better with your cushions. I’m afraid my first thought would have been to replace it. I really appreciate you found such an elegant solution and were able to keep an otherwise functional piece. We have become such a disposable society. You costal grasses look like they are growing well. Thank you for such a well done video.

Thank you! Even though it wasn't super expensive as outdoor furniture goes, I really hated the thought of disposing of it. I'm pretty "thrifty" as a rule. 😛 Because it's metal, I know if I had left it out by the side of the road the "metal guy" would have picked it up and he would've made some money off it. And my second choice would probably have been to try Facebook marketplace and see if somebody else could do something with it. You're right about the stained bamboo with the cushions -- I didn't even think of that! Leaving it light would've looked weird -- I would have had to recover the cushions. I did love the old weaving, but what are you going to do? On the other couch it's not only falling apart but it's also become worn off and is losing its color in places. Yes -- the coastal grasses are doing well!! They seem happy where I've planted them. And I have three orange pumpkins and five smaller green ones now, although the plants are infected with powdery mildew and I've been unable to heal them with fungicide. They soldier on, though. Next year I'll try to prevent the mildew before it starts. Thank you for your kind comment. ❤😊❤
