We can all agree that, even though its disposition is unknown, the LMS Flying Scotsman is the British equivalent to the GP30 844

Early diesel shunters are an interesting piece of history. Even on the Southern, Maunsell had built 3 0-6-0 350hp shunters for their marsheling yards. All three made it to BR and you can get a body kit to fit a 08 chassis.

This was definitely a very interesting video, Pensy. Nice to see someone cover the LMS' early attempts at diesel motive power

Interesting video, thank you for your time to post. Welcome to the quirky English language, Bi-Chester.. Has England just gained another new town? 😁 Try "Bister" and we'll all know where you are. Good job there wasn't a shunter based at Wymondham or Happisburgh in Norfolk!

Personally I have always thought European railroads have railroads with motive power and rolling stock that literally looks like toys, so never had much care or interest but I wanna thank history in the dark for literally giving me a different opinion, still think most of it looks like toys but I do find the historic steam as well as electric railroads in general as interesting. His Milwaukee road mini doc and explaining there former northern electric route completely changed my opinion on electric rail as well. Been nerding hours of my life away on rail tycoon 3 recently and actually play the euro and world maps where in the past there’s no way I would’ve

The 08 ancestors well before the 1953 08. All had major differences if you compare them, both visually and mechanically.

Bicester claims another scalp. It's one of those funny British placennames that isn't pronounced as spelt. The c and 1st e are silent but don't ask me why. If you ever need to say Bicester again just say B-ster with as short B as in because.
