Lots of people arent gonna realize how important this video is, and how legendary it is to get Stu on here. I have dealt with backpain and at many points total body chronic pain since I was 16. It really ruined my life in a lot of ways. I feel especially for people who are really active and then begin to experience debilitating pain, because it sort of strips you of a huge portion of your life and personality. I saw countless physio therapists and they all gave me similar cookie cutter programs. I began reading about anatomy and physiology so much that I should have just went to school. Anyway, one thing many people discount in getting better is the way we breath. When we breath properly, we support the spine through pressure created by the diaphram, we also mantain an acceptable ribcage position for our scapulas to rest on, as well as mantain proper length of the muscles connected to our ribcages. When we are incorrectly breathing, it also leaves our nervous system in a pereptually stressed state. I decided to seek out a therapist that practiced this school of thought and just through breathing I have really improved the quality of my muscles and pain. Anyway, great vid david.

I herniated my L4-L5 disc last year. Took 8 months from lifting, hired a coach February and have been in the gym for 3 months. Pain has gone down to a 1-2, and that’s only when sitting for really prolonged periods of times or when I bend down wrong. Watching this was very comforting. Can’t wait to see David back 🖤

Stand up every 15-20 min, do bench decompression, do 3 bird dogs and your spine viscosity and stability will get back and you can sit again pain free for 20 min but it takes time for discs to stiffen up and the spine to be resiliant again

I have a disc protrusion L5-S1 and have lots of different symptoms from aching and tightness in lower back and different sensations down my leg from hot and cold feelings to muscle tightness. The things that have helped me: - McGill big 3 - Walking a few times a day - Swimming - Decompression so hanging from a bar or a super lower squat where your bum is almost on the floor - Cobra pose What makes it worse: - Running (I ran for a train a couple of weeks ago and I'm still suffering now, bad idea) - Cross trainer - Chest and shoulder presses if reasonably heavy. Light seems to be ok. - Squats and deadlifts (I'm never doing these again even if symptom free) as there are safe alternatives that work similar muscles. I'm still learning as I go and there are a lot of things I'm unsure about but I'm trying my best and I can get my symptoms down to almost zero if I keep doing these things.

@@smith2186 Hi brother. I was pain free after 6 complete months after my injury. i abstained from deadlifts, squats and any other movement that cause spinal flexion or placed pressure on my discs. I won't recommend taking 6 months as a sure shot timeline as it is very much case dependent. I did not have a complete herniation. Watch Brian Carroll and Stu McGill and you will be much more educated about the lower back injuries. As of now it's been over a year since my injury. i squat, deadlift and do whatever I want and set PRs. Ive tried the McGill method and everything. I am now in the mind body approach to try and train my brain that the problem might not be physical. Neuroplasticity causes pain signals to be fired more intensely the more they happen. I recommend looking at the work by Alan Gordon and Dr. Sarno and they talk about this.

Hi, I am very grateful to know about you and I appreciate all the information that you provide. Thank you I send your videos to my husband and my son Gavin who is 19. Please excuse any typos.

@maxurian I'd say my favorite synonym to Euphoria would have to be excitement for the major excitement you get when you take the Euphoria 2.0 pre and of course when you get any type of David Laid notification on your phone.

@zerembrah For the giveaway, my fav synonym of euphoria would be transcendent. Not only does it describe the euphoric feeling itself but it's also what we strive for day by day, to transcend to a better physique, health and mind.

David could you do a video talking about some important exercises or movements you have incorporated since talking to experts? Myself and others would be curious to know

Take note all you young youtube wannabe influencers, David is what happens when you start out lifting too heavy too soon combined with less than proper form.
