You forgot to add ZR1 is a 120k + no option car. That kind of money gets you a lot of weight savings. This is why you don’t compare cars 50k apart. We both build cars but you get an extra 50 k to spend hmmmm you win obviously. Nothing even close available for 72k running 10.6 from the dealership no mods. That’s impressive.

mario almazan because he will lose. Big difference is he don’t show HP numbers he just kinda says 1000hp after every upgrade. Other channels he races share there dynos and share the 1/4mile and 60-130 so he knows what to race and not lose. The reason he will lose is because suspension. Mamba ran 10s with basically suspension. Mamba is set up to launch from a dig on a prepped track. Ss basically leaves his car in the setup it’s in because it allows him to race roll racing on stock setup. The giant wing Chevy guys complain saying it’s holding SS back is actually helping him get traction on these roll races. You sake a car with drag wheels and suspension on the street with less HP and more weight it does damn good but struggled for traction. On a dragstrip mamba gets enough traction that if he didn’t have suspension the car would wheelie which don’t help the suspension helps the car squat and go. SS has a lot done to the engine but doesn’t from a dig he will spin a lot more with suspension. He won’t go for suspension because he likes his roll racing

Ppl including LMR saying he only races cars stangmode can beat is done he takes his losses like a champ. These people saying take a 1000hp mustang and put it against a 1000hp vette are just stupid. GT500 makes more power than mamba but mamba is lighter and setup for dragstrip. Either way both weigh more than a vette and are like a brick going through the air compared to a vette. So the 850whp mustang should be compared to a 750hp vette GT500 shows in that s video that exact point it takes 1000hp to get a full weight backseat GT500 to beat a zr1 now guy the GT500 to a 2 seater do some weight reduction and that would be still heavy but with just the front seat out stock he ran 10.5 the same as the zr1 the fast shift of the DCT are awesome but not helping it off the line. Palm beach dyno just had a live chat today and basically were begging tremec to unlock the DCT. Only other option is a Motech to tune everything but that’s very expensive and like PBD said it’s easier and safer to just tune factory stuff. With the trans tuned the GT500 will easily go into the 8s with just upgrades to the factory supercharger. Until then it’s comparing what’s there against built engine upgrades c7s Chevy with the c8 will no longer be a car to build and upgrade and the camaro is gone it comes down to the mustangs and slowly improving them and as the new chassis comes it will only go up from here and the c7 will be stuck in the past. C8 variants will be 200-$400k and with part electric it’s a supercar that cant be easily upgraded and will cost you supercar prices to maintain fix and upgrade. We know this just by the fact the dinky pads on the c8 just for pads cost $1100 and fry after a few track runs. Imagine what stuff will cost for the next variants

@@carculturenation2166 Buddy I too love both brands but lemme b clear here.. if we r comparing engines. I wud say the LT5 s as great as the Ford 5.2 Predator motor. The GMs chassis however is way superior to Fords S550, whether be it Camaro or the Vette. I work for a performance company and I ve done work on S550, C6 Vettes, Alpha Camaros. The reason why GMs are so competitive s because they ve strengthened their chassis where it matters and left others light weight. The S550 s too bulky. When U prep a car for GT4 U ve to do more work on S550 ie to cut off a lot of heavy sections these parts which we cut off easily add up to over 70 lbs. Thats very significant. When we compare motor to motor. The Ford motors are actually stronger., but when modded the LTs come back with advantage.. but again is it significantly better definitively not. The difference s small.. but that small difference added with less weight where it counts.. many people are led to have the notion LT s better but actually its just not LTs that make that big difference its the combination GM has put out. Motor to motor. Fords are stronger.. but as a performance product GMs are slightly better. I for one still side with Ford just because I am a sucker for 7000+ rpm redlines which GMs don't see at all.. but that said I ve deep respect for them.

jandj Godwin yeah agree with the chassis. It sucks though because what we grew up knowing as these great beautiful upgradable cars and chassis are pretty much gone from gm. To me with the camaro gone and now the corvette going mid engine. GM is basically taking away what we know. There will no longer ne’er be a GM to sit and build in your own garage. The c8 is limited with its power plant and trans being limited at 600hp. Yes you can build the engine but for the average c8 costing 85-95k you basically then dump another 30-40k to add power adders build the engine and then you have a DCT that’s limited. The fact those little pads on the c8 cost $1100 and burn up after a few track runs shows the direction the vette is going. The are going to be fast but next variants are going to be $200-$400k and with using hybrid battery power that makes it very hard to upgrade which means gm will only have a supercar prices car to maintain buy and fix. I really wish they left a front engine vette and called the c8 something else. Wishful 🤔 thinking. So it comes down to what dodge comes out with but they refuse to change the challenger. The rods are weak so it’s powerful but not a contender. So ford has the 2022 mustang come mg with a new chassis and really a coyote is all you need and that’s why I like the mach1 it handles and it has the super modable coyote. If they do a better lighter chassis it will be huge. I’ve seen every pound pulled out of the s550 and they still are hefty. But the engine allows the average backyard mechanic to build off of and not worry about the bottom end. The predator is great. But for the average joe coyote swapping will start to become what LS swaps were. As we see more coyote come out of trucks and cars the car world will be so different from what we know. Plus people say these fords are the easiest thing to tune. But even a big boy car watch serpentstang videos. He set his up for scca small track and the way he set his cftp he actually broke some records from the year before on a little track. He also has a gt350 but first go out with his GT500 he got third and they sent him to another event with more straights. Factory exhaust was to loud so they had to clog half the exhaust up just to compete. But great video check it out

They could come up with a light front mid engine RWD car with 5.0 as base engine and modular 6.2 dohc v8 as the power engine with mt/at options call it say Ford Torino/Maverick/Thunderbird GT.. and could ve gathered a huge fan base.. but Ford is as stupid as ever.. never gets things right.

Tiger Gan we live in amazing times with amazing cars but in reality Chevy is going no camaro and basically super car direction with the vette which is cool but GM no longer has an upgradable car as of next year. The gen3 coyote is going to be the next go to swap knowing the bottom end no engine building can get you in the low 8s it allows the average backyard mechanic to build there own car. There isn’t any cars left you can do that. LS swaps will slowly be replaced instead coyote swap the world starts 😀 now there is that other company with the fat cars that can’t turn well. Oh yeah dodge it’s called. The refuse to change what they are doing they add the aging supercharged engine they change it up in toss it in everything. Problem is it will never handle and yes it makes gobs of power not to upgradable plus it has weak rods so it takes a engine build. but look at even demonology. Every upgrade on his probably 50to75k. Plus 100k demon drag car. And mustangs with less money to buy and build and for 45k for the car and 40k for upgrades you have a 8 sec mustang. Demonology has everything possible and even a whipple coming and I bet he can touch the stock bottom end coyote record. Now the predator ford has a car that can handle and drag a stock demon with just upgrades to factory parts. Leave the strip and hit the road course. Check out if you haven’t seen how good serpentstang does on a small scca track it’s insane seeing what he does with a new cftp GT500 breakup no time records of people that have been doing that track for years
