@@Ryan.C97998 Lol the power difference is probably more that they're saying, I was only making 790rwhp in my C6 with the same ZR1 gear ratios and kept up with a GT500 making 1000rwhp and that's on a centri blower so something is wrong here. Them being a 7spd and weighing as much as they do they're not all that fast for the power they make. Also both cars had passengers but that actually hurts the lighter cars performance more because the power to weight ratio decreases more adding weight to a lighter vehicle.

Weights not everything. Mods matter. The blower is much bigger stock on the 500 and Makes more power stock let alone modified. It’s also a manual trans against a DCT. So in all reality the only thing the vet has on it is weight. What did you expect?

And the gt500 makes 150 more hp with a DCT trans.....that against a manual with quite a bit less power is hard to beat. Lol 700lbs isn't making up for that. Zr1 did good I thought. I expected the gt500 to win. It wasn't horrible.

It's a outdated vette. This is a video all the c6 and older vette guys should look at. Those old dudes talk smack about the c8 lineup when the c8 zo6 which is mid grade would be a good race against the gt500. I don't even want to think when the c8 zr1 what that would do in that situation. Gt500 is a beast and needs another beast to take it on. C6 and under don't even try to mess with a gt500 maybe a c7 zr1 would be a fair race? I own a c8 but props to the gt500s they are amazing cars.
