@@JnEricsonx Me too! One of those suicide bombers got me while I was trying to escape. The maze had been super awesome up until that point, but because of that stupid death I was sour to myself for a long time (and I still kind of am. I can be a really sore loser). After that death, I kind of just wanted to be over with the rest of the game, and whenever I've fired up the game since, I just haven't quite been able to shake the nagging feeling of remembering that death. I guess I feel a little better getting to share my experience with someone who's gone through the same and knowing that I'm not the only one. Thanks for sharing! :)

I play Alan wake every single year and poets of the fall because of that game has become my favorite band, I bought the ultimate edition of control for the Alan wake dlc. Playing through it when I got to the recording studio and I heard poets of the fall I started crying I was so excited and happy

The Ashtray Maze was such an amazing experience. The way the flow of the gameplay and the flow of the song synced perfectly, the empowering feeling of the Oldest House shifting to let you through and to block the Hiss and to give you this beautiful stage on which to use and enjoy and showcase all the powers you collected throughout the game, all set to this absolute banger of a song - it really felt like a love letter to the player. I love you too, Remedy. ❤

The game was great until I put on Ahti's headphones, the way the song dynamically changed based on what was happening, the way the audio and visuals danced together perfectly, goosebumps and when Jesse said those words in the end of the maze, I understood what a masterpiece this game really is. I think it was heightened by the fact that the soundtrack otherwise was so ambient, made this moment stand out even more.

This is one of the coolest discoveries I've made in a game in awhile. Totally caught me by surprise, I was like, "yo, is that... is that Poets Of The Fall?" Then the guitars kicked in and I knew. Then I exit the room and the lyrics are on a wall and there's a sheet that asks you questions about the song. So not only did they feature a song from one of my favorite bands of all time, Porcupine Tree, but they also collabed with Poets Of The Fall. Man, I love this game!!!

They always remind me of Type O Negative, who also had a couple of musical moments in games I remember way back... not so much lyrically but in those particular styles of riff on the rhythm guitars, and orchestration, and having a deep-voiced singer over it all. It's the sort of thing that always seems to play very well with frantic game action. :)
