Can't remember much but there was this other MBAV video where the writer replied to someones email and confirmed that they were either planning to portal them to a hotel in Transylvania or England or something, or a time travel episode to 1880's when Jessie first showed up to run the place. i initially had the same issue with erica not saving ethan in the season 1 finale, but i realized it would be kind of out of character for her? she was very pro-vampire and always thought sarah fully transforming would be best case scenario. it would kind of make sense that she wouldn’t step in. also she just didn’t really care about ethan. like you said, she’s not so much a “good guy or a bad guy” as she is just someone who works for her own best interests lol

I kinda disagree with what you said about Erica jumping in to save Ethan instead to keep Sarah from becoming a full vampire, from what we see in the show (and movie) Erica basically has the whole vampire thing idolized. She's actually happy that Sarah finally became a full vampire, I assume that if it was truly up to her, she would've let Ethan turn. For Erica vampirism is a blessing but to Sarah is a curse

As showrunner and head-writer, I was mostly in charge of the stories and season 'arc' including the 'Lucifractor explosion'... I think I still have the Lucifractor prop somewhere in my office. (!) Actually the initial finale idea that 'everyone is trapped in a big explosion' came from the producer's budget concerns - they wanted me to make it possible to cut cast members in season 3. Loved your video! I've talked about MBAV on my channel for multiple hours now because it's one of my favorite series, so it's really cool to see other people talk about it! The MBAV fandom has uncovered a lot of unknown information about the show, like the fact that Disney heavily censored the series and why the creator ended up making the finale a cliffhanger! (spoiler alert: they thought it would get the show another season, but teletoon had made no money from it so it didn't work out). That was what I was thinking too because even though it’s safe for them to be outside none of the vampires seem to spend much time outside anyway. Which is pretty normal for teenagers so it’s not suspicious. A few minutes exposure won’t do much but standing out there all day would probably do some serious damage same way the concentrated stabbing lights do

I love this show I wish I was able to find season 2 on dvd though. Also I just recently rewatched the movie & show on Roku for Halloween & omg the actual show was a bit more explicit than what they aired on Disney. Hearing them say “Crap” or “Damn” was wild to me. Also the cheerleading episode is probably my favorite episode “Three Cheers For Evil” out of the whole series but what’s hilarious is Ethan & Benny dressed up as Betty & Veronica to be the cheerleaders & this was years before “Riverdale” then Vanessa Morgan(Sarah)actually got to be with the real Betty & Veronica on “Riverdale” where her(Toni) & Veronica were both cheerleaders. That’s just crazy funny to be it’s almost like they predicted Vanessa’s future

Tbh this show couldve been a classic if it wasn’t so tragic. They just had to cancel it. One thing the show did better than most mystical archetypes is have more roles instead of just vampires, witches, and werewolves. I feel like going foward shows that involve mystical beings need to have more than the basic trifecta and all have strengths and weaknesses. Imagine a show like TVD but with vampires, witches, werewolves, zombies, seers, syrens, demons, giants, dwarfs, ghosts, etc. In this archetype the always focus on the witches and vampires instead of the plethora of mystical creatures. I know that’d be a lot to juggle but I’m tired of only vampires and witches being the main mystical beings getting projects. I don’t mind that they are in but I’d much rather have a different mystical race being in the forefront of characters. Like a show center around the history of dwarfs would be fresh and cool and maybe give them some mystical ability. Like I know they are usually depicted as hard workers and good with tinkering. Maybe have them able to craft magic into their weapons and tools. Or a show centered around the main characters being able to be ghosts Danny Phantom style. Only reason I’ve lasted this long with vampire is because they are portrayed as sexy and are 99% of the time. I don’t mind eye candy but cmon.

one of the things i actually kind of love about this show is that the characters are just unabashedly terrible people. like the boys send a girl scout to hell, and if i remember correctly she was just a little girl who got possessed. they kill people, they hang out with erica who kills people, theyre horrible. and the show doesnt really try to say they arent, it just says “well yea but no one else can do their job so we have to put up with them”. also when i tell people about this show i just say they canonically died at the end of season 2. like, the vampire artifact backfires and makes a real explosion and kills all of our main characters except erica and rory whove been mind controlled. show over. i wouldve liked a followup, but its so funny to pretend it was intentional

I think it would be great if (MY BABYSITTER’S A VAMPIRE) show series could get rebooted now. I think in the remake of it, of the First Season of it; Ethan character is being played by a 13 & a half year old actor. The reason why is, this way you can watch, both the actor, and the character Ethan have a birthday turning 14years old. Now I envision the (Benny) character is being played by a 14year old boy actor, and this character is there for his friend’s birthday. I also think that the character Sara, should be played by 15year old actress, and that character hasn’t gotten her drivers license yet. To add I envision (Erica) character, is played by 16years old actress, and Rory character is played by 13year old actor. In addition I envision the (Jessie) character, who’s the evil male vampire, he is played by either a 16year old, or a 17year old boy.

I feel like this show premise is better than all the ones we got. Like imagine TVD feel but the this shows characters and Mystical beings. It was limited by Disney and being a kids show. You have the romance Ethan and Sarah (slow burn), Rory and Erica, (unrequited to lovers) and Benny could get an enemies to lovers with maybe a witch who apparently are generally evil in their verse. You have the appeal with all the mystical beings. And all the characters are good and have decent character dev already but you could rewrite it a bit better in a reboot. Ps I know Benny and Erica were a thing I just think writing Rory as her love interest would be a better change.
