The beloved star of Dark Shadows Mr. Johnathan Frid died, April 13, 2012. He was 87.

Yes, but we cry and we're sad because we miss him, mourn the fact that the magnificent energy that made it impossible for us to take our eyes off of Barnabas Collins from the moment Mrs Johnson opened the doors to Collinwood to him has left us, and know this world was a better place with Jonathan Frid in it.

@@marthajibbs5179 No Mr. Frid never married and he never had any kids. However he was surrounded by family and friends back in Canada where he moved back to and retired there. He wanted his independence.
