It’s gonna be so hard for me to get over the fact that not only did Kobe have so much of his life ahead of him but he didn’t even make it to see himself enshrined in the HOF, not only that but his sweet daughter Gianna won’t even be there to see her father who was also mentoring her to being a great basketball player as well, give his HOF speech. Moeshaak Shakur i love my family but a lot of people can relate to me when I say this - Kobe was the male role model for a lot of us who didn’t have a strong male role model. I love my Dad but he was in and out of my life. Kobe - though i never met him - was always there. I saw his determination, hard work, and strive for excellence and pushed myself to be like him. All the strong qualities I have as a Man and a leader are because of Kobe, not my dad. Him dying is pretty much like a family member you look up to dying. That’s why people are taking it so hard. Not trying to insult you, but just wanted to give context.
