I lost my Mom to ovarian cancer coming up on 5 years this February. That same day, after I held her as she left this world, I had to put both of my dogs down and held them as well as they passed on. Since then I have lost an Uncle, Grandpa, a Cat that was given to us to help grieve and a dog we rescued. Since the end of 2018 until now I have lost three more family members. I woke up in recovery from shoulder surgery 11/8/18 to my Dad telling me my Grandma had passed to Alzheimer's. In June of 2019 we returned home from an annual golf tournament to my other Grandma passing from Alzheimer's. Shortly after my Aunt would die. We all suffer loss at one point or another and in all different ways. It's up to us to carry on their legacies and remember all the times we had together. That is how we keep their spirit alive. My prayers go out to you all who suffer with loss and who miss those who have moved on. It's a pain that never goes away or lessens, you only get stronger at carrying it. Godspeed, everyone.

36 here too man. I live in NJ but I was raised in Los Angeles, been a Lakers fan ever since a child. Watching Magic Johnson play and all them back then. Moved to NJ and said to myself, I will always be a Lakers fan. Then came Kobe and been a fan of him since. I only got to see him play Live twice. Most memorable of them was game 3 of the NBA Finals between the Lakers and the Nets when the Nets were still in Jersey. I always wanted to take a vacation to Los Angeles (have never been back after moving as a child) to watch Kobe play 1 last time at the Staples Center before he retired, sadly I never got the chance. RIP Kobe

I suddenly lost my father almost 3 years ago, the day before I was set to graduate High School. I was 18. When you experience a major loss like that, you get this feeling like “well at least I’m ready for anything now, if I can handle this I can get through anything” I’ve experienced losses since that day, but Kobe was the first one to deliver a similar since of shock that I felt when my father died. I can relate to a lot of what Shaq is feeling, and I have nothing but respect for what he had to say in this video. A lot of people feel that way inside, but it is very hard to put into words the way he did. The sad reality of loss is that you never “get over it”. You just learn to live with it. And it sure will take some time. From a diehard Dallas sports fan, I will always honor you, Kobe. Rest In Peace, MAMBA AND GIANNA BRYANT💜💛
