I'm still in shock. He was such an amazing actors and probably has some of the most fascinating characters in his catalogue. Omar was special, but there was characters like Chalky White that he played with such heart that those performances were unforgettable. R.I.P

Even as short as his role in the film The Road was, it was so wrought with real emotion and desperation. The man was just so so talented. Never be another like him.

I had the pleasure of meeting Micheal twice. I used to manage a van’s boutique store in SoHo NY & he would constantly buy kicks. I gifted him a collectors item skate deck. Last conversation we had was about one of his friends passing. It’s crazy now that he passed I’m like damn, he is now my friend who passed. Trips me out every time I think about it. His legacy will live on. Rest in paradise my brother.

Met him on a production. I was pulling into the office and could tell from a distance it was him in front of the office just pacing. He wasn't on the cast yet and I said ignorantly I didn't know you was gonna be on this. He replied "me either" and we laughed and hand shook hugged. He didn't even know me but I felt like we had been friends for a while. His smile genuinely is from the heart. He's goated in my heart too.

And on a lighter note, good god could the man wear a suit and tie. It was like the day he was born he came into this world looking all kinds of regal and fresh. Look it up and tell me that every James Bond actor even comes close to looking as good as Michael K Williams. If you do you would be lying to yourself.

He was such a nice person. I worked at a top of the line catering/service establishment right in Times Square NYC. This place hosted huge gatherings for events, premieres for movies... etc. One night I was working a serving shift and had to pass out drinks to the arriving guests....Super classy event!!! At one point I walked up to the bar and I looked up ... and he was there! I was pretty taken back but I acted casual. At this place we weren’t allowed to be “star struck” we would literally be fired on the spot if we started taking photos or ask for autographs...At the end of the day they are people like us! Anyways we spoke for a moment and he was so very nice!! I know this was a little long winded but he really was fantastic and warm soul ❤️

Some may not know but Quentin Tarantino actually wrote the part of Django In Django Unchained FOR Michael K. Williams!! He had to turn the role down because the schedule interfered with shooting of Boardwalk Empire. Django Unchained is a great movie but I think it would have been even better with Williams as Django over Jamie Foxx. Jamie Foxx did fine but he is too much of a "pretty boy" to play a slave who's been beaten and worked his whole life. Williams would have added a lot more to the role. The scar on his face alone would have added something a lot more visual and authentic to the character.

I KNOW IM GONA SOUND CRAZY BUT IDC. I know we are in a different timeline because I remember him dying from drug overdose in the past . I was watching the show Hap and Leonard it came out in 2016. He was announced dead shortly after that show either that year or the beginning of 2017. I remember cause I was so sad cause I fell in love with the show and knew it wasn’t coming back due to his death . Then in 2021 he is announced dead again from drug overdose. IS THERE ANYONE OUT THERE THAT CAN VALIDATE THIS!?! I’m know I’m not crazy.
