I was in the 198th Light Infantry Brigade but I didn't get there till October 1968. I was a Forward Observer for A company 1/46th Infantry.

Today is memorial day 2024. What a story these guys got. I'll never forget my family fought in this war and all others up to the Vietnam. Bless there souls God and protect them so they can live peaceful lives. Amazing warriors.

I'm the stepson of a veitnam veteran and the grandson of a ww2 veteran , my uncle Larry served during in the army during veitnam but never went to veitnam

So tragic. Now multiple it by 58,000 And it really sinks in. I never had to experience this but my grandma did having lost all four of her brothers in WW1.

@@truestoriesfromthevietnamwar Fortunately in way at least they too were gone already so Grandma was all alone. She sold the small family farm and headed to America to start a new life. And now here “I” am! Never met her however with my Dad marrying late in life so she was already gone ten years before I was born in 1964.
