Remembering Polly Lewis

I loved The Lewis Family, every one of them. I loved watching them at festivals in Oklahoma (McAlester in June and Hugo in August) all through my growing up years. Polly had a smile like sunshine, and Little Roy is a comedic genius. I miss those festivals today. I’d love to hear the whole family together one more time but many of them are part of the angel band now. I guess I’ll have to wait and hear then when I get to Heaven. Thank you Polly. You are loved and dearly missed.

I have loved The Lewis Family since I was a child, and Miss Polly was one of my all-time favorite gospel singing ladies! She will be very greatly missed! Heaven keeps getting sweeter and sweeter!

Polly was the female mouthpiece for the Lewis family group ... the other girls barely said a word on stage.
